"𝐘𝐎𝐔𝐑 𝐓𝐎𝐓𝐀𝐋 𝐈𝐒 $3.45 𝐌𝐀𝐀𝐌." The Indian man behind the counter spoke as he put the multiple items in the bag. Ivory looked up from her phone from texting her friends and handed him the 5 dollar bill her husband gave her.

"Keep the change and no receipt." She responded smiling as she grabbed the bag and before she walked away she made sure to wave goodbye.

While walking out she came in contact with 3 men. They all had dreads but two of the men had color in theirs. They eyed her as she continued to walk out the door muttering a 'Thank you' to the one that held the door for her.

She walked to the all red Trackhawk going to the passenger side, pulling on the handle but it was locked. She knocked on the window gaining her husband attention and he unlocked the car door.

"Baby why you locked the door?" She asked Baby and he shrugged.

"It's a habit. What you got though?" He said looking out the window at the store constantly. Ivory didn't notice it since she was excited about showing him what she got for only $3.45.

"I got these flamin hot cool ranch doritos, two packs of cinnamon donuts and two blue gatorades. All of this came out to be only $3.45." She said with a big smile on her face handing him the two packs of donuts along with one of the gatorades she got him.

"Mmm. Where the rest of the change?" He asked and she pointed towards the store.

"I told him to keep it." She said and he looked at her crazy.

"What you mean you told him to keep it?" He replied getting loud and her smile slowly disappeared.

"It was only $1.55 left so I told him to keep it." She said confused. She didn't understand what was such a big deal over a dollar and some change since he made a bunch of money from rapping.

That dollar was nothing to them...well that's what she thought. They been together for four years and this was the first time she heard something like that come from his mouth.

"You get the change back always. I don't care if it's a penny, get the change." He said getting louder and cranking up the truck and she sat back and put her seatbelt on.

"Oh um okay." She said opening up the chips and smelling it before eating one. She always smelled her food before eating it.

The same three dudes came out the store laughing and she watched Baby tense up as he reversed the car and sped off quickly.

As they drove out the gas station parking lot she looked at the three men. They looked familiar as hell.

"Those are the rappers from Chicago. You made a few songs with one of them right?" I asked munching on the dark red chips.

"Mhm. Let me get one." He held his hand out and she placed one in his hand. He looked down kissing his teeth.

"Girl give me some chips." He said and she laughed.

"Naw because you did say give you one." She said pouring some in his hand. She watched as he ate one and immediately started coughing.

"Ahh yo weak ass now give me my chips back. They not even all that hot." She said shaking her head grabbing the couple of chips in his hand putting them back in the bag.

"Shut the hell up." He coughed between the words struggling to open the bottle. She laughed watching him struggle but he finally got it open and drunk from it.

"Okay now you're  over exaggerating." She side eyed him while texting the group chat back.
