Oleboheng was roughly awaken from his slumber by the screeching sound of his alarm. As his groggy mind slowly cleared, he felt the weight of the day's events bearing down on him. As much as he couldn't contain his excitement, Oleboheng couldn't contain his nervousness. He reached out to silence the alarm as he slowly rose from his bed. Despite the darkness that enveloped his room due to the absence of the sun, the passion and determination that burned within him illuminated every inch of his being. With a slow and deliberate movement, he reached for his watch and his eyes lingered on the time; 5am sharp, exactly the time he had planned to wake up on, as he had planned every detail of this day down to the minute, meticulously so, leaving no room for errors or mishaps.

Today was special, so special that Oleboheng could hardly sleep from the nervousness during the night before. He was going to prepare for the international magician championships, World's Greatest Magician, and get filmed while doing so by the directors of the show, and he would later be included in their documentary: the road to being the World's Greatest Magician, which will showcase how each contestant was preparing for the big competition that was to begin in a week. He was, however, already a legend in South Africa and beyond, a magician whose name echoed through the streets of Africa and whose tricks left many in awe ever he had won the national and continental competitions and qualified for the World competition automatically. Of course, there was no way he would mess this up as he was already a pro, but even the most seasoned professionals have their moments of doubt, and Oleboheng was no exception.

He was to wake up an hour before his daughter, who was going to school on this tuesday morning. Oleboheng slowly rubbed his eyes, as he thought of all the wonderful things that would happen to him if he had won the competition; he would inspire many more people outside of Africa, and he would now become the biggest in the world; a lifelong dream. However, he still had to get past preparations and the competition itself; the damn competition! Sometimes he would think to himself that they should give him the title right away, what was the purpose of competing when you were already the best?

After forcing himself out of bed, he did his daily morning workout routine, which lasted for about twenty minutes. After that came a warm bath to relax his muscles, when he was finished, he put on one of his best outfits for today's occasion; a dark, purple suit with a black vest underneath, a pair of black leather shoes that shined bright enough to blind a man because of how much he polished them, and topped it all off with a matching purple seanamarena slung over his left shoulder. His short, afro was neatly combed after a thorough wash that made it silky and soft. After preparing himself and dressing his best, he went over to the kitchen to have breakfast.

A steaming bowl of Oatmeal with some fresh milk, topped with a blanket of brown sugar on top for sweetening was enough to get him started with his day. Alongside his magic, he also took his health and fitness seriously. The sun was already popping out of the horizon by the time he had finished breakfast and his daughter, Thandi, woke up with the sun.

"Morning dad,", Thandi yawned. Her eyes looked puffy and red, with dark circles framing them. It looked as if she hadn't slept at all. "Wow, you're up early today."

"Waking up early is better than not sleeping at all.", Ole grinned, "You look like you just woke up from the dead. Tell me, what were you doing all night?"

"How did you know I..."

"These walls talk to me, sweetheart. ", He smirked. Thandi was flatly surprised. "Relax, they don't. They're just thin. I could hear you knocking things around last night.."

"Oh, I was just finishing up my project, it is due today and I was trailing behind with my work.", She anxiously scratched the back of her head.

"Oh, did you finish?"
