Rafe Cameron had always been attracted to his sister's best friend, Jane. He would often watch her from a distance, envious of anyone who could be close to her.
Jane was dating JJ Maybank, and Rafe couldn't stand seeing them together. He knew he could have anyone he wanted, but it was Jane who he truly desired.
Whenever Jane was around, Rafe would find an excuse to be nearby. He would watch her surfing, hanging out with friends, or just walking along the beach. He knew he was being a little bit of a stalker, but he couldn't help himself.
Rafe was always envious of JJ, who had won Jane's heart. He couldn't understand why she would choose JJ over him. He was better looking, more successful, and he knew how to treat a woman right.
But despite all of his best efforts, Jane never seemed to notice him in that way. She was always friendly, but never flirty. Rafe knew he had to be content with just being her friend, but it was hard.
One day, while Jane was hanging out with Sarah Cameron, Rafe found himself watching them from a distance. He could hear their laughter and see the smiles on their faces, and he felt a pang of envy.
"Why does she choose JJ over me?" Rafe muttered to himself, his voice barely audible.
He knew he shouldn't feel this way, but he couldn't help it. He had always been attracted to Jane, and he couldn't stand seeing her with someone else.
As the sun began to set over the beach, Rafe knew it was time to go home. He had to accept that Jane would never be his, and he had to move on.
But as he walked away, he couldn't help but glance back at Jane one last time. He knew he would always be envious of anyone who could be with her, but he also knew he had to let her go.
