(A/N: hey peeps, this was a prompt from a while back (few years ago for sure) given by someone but i can't find who) and i finally decided to finish it 😆 pls i know the beginning sounds horribly wrong but bare with me)

He did it, he had just broken up with Taylor and doesn't know what to do. Surely, he isn't going after her, well, it was his idea to turn a new page after all. But he misses her so much already, he misses having somebody that close around.

Drinks, yes, he thinks, that will help me relax. So he leaves, to the bar they always go after a good shift to celebrate. He wasn't planning on going there, but it's probably the only place he can relax in peace.

One beer.
Two beers.
Taylor.
More. Something stronger
Vodka.

Just as he was about to order his fourth drink of the night(aka. the second vodka), there was a man approaching him.

"You seem upset, I have something that can help you." he whispers and opens his jacket halfway. Buck can see all sorts of pills and powders.

I shouldn't.
Should I try tho?
At this point it feels like alcohol doesn't help, and he had drank quite an amount of it.

"You caught me on the right day", Buck replays, "do you have something that will make me forget things for a moment?".

The man smiles widely and offers him two light pink pills. "These will make you live tonight without a care for the world." Buck takes the pills and before he could reach for some cash, the man left and went out of the bar.

Okay, that was a bit weird. Buck thinks and looks at the pills in his hand. Oh, why the hell not, he made the decision long time ago already, so why stop now?

Many minutes and few vodka shots later, Buck couldn't keep it inside any longer. He had to tell someone what happend so he calls up Eddie. Sure, it was like 2am but Eddie wouldn't mind, he's always there for him. The thought brings a smile to Buck's face.

"Buck?" a sleepy voice answers.

"He-he-heyy, Eddie." Buck happily replies.

"What are you doing up so late, are you drunk?" Eddie now sounds concerned.

"I broke up with Taylor." Buck ignores the question. "I left her, yes, it was ME who left her, I finally did it. I refused to cling onto something that isn't there anymore."

Eddie was about to replay but he got stopped in thought by Buck. "I want someone who loves me no matter what. Someone who cares about me. Someone who wouldn't betray my trust in matter of moments. . .

We are perfect together, we fit like two pieces of a puzzle, like two birds on a wire." Buck continued on rambling for long enough that he forgot who he was talking to.

While drawing hearts on the table of the bar with his finger, he said: "I love him so much and he doesn't even know."

Eddie's eyes went wide. How did we get from Taylor to a "he"??

"Who he?" Eddie's mouth worked faster than his brain. He wasn't happy about the existance of a  romantic "he" in Bucks life.

"Shit." beep beep beep
The phone went silent. Buck just hanged up. Eddie was in a bit of a shock and had no idea what was going on but he sure knew Buck wasn't quite aware where he is and what he's doing, so he called him back. Once. Twice. By third time he was getting anxious. His heart was going wild in his chest and there was no way he would be able to calm down without finding Buck and seeing that he's safe and sound. So he got out of bed and went to search for him. With no idea where he could be, he went around few places, bars to be exact, where he knew buck went at least once.
