*20 years later*
"Lillian!" Mike and Jack's adopted son yelled from across the room.
"Hi, Jerry." She smiled as he came up to her.
"Want to play a college gig tonight I talked to Robert and Kat their both in. We just need our drummer?" Lillian let out a smile and nodded.
"Alright, Jer but it better be worth it." He nodded and kissed her cheek softly causing her to blush. He chuckled and gently took his hand into hers. They walked out of the college and to Jerry's car which was Mike's. She got in and chuckled at the sight of condoms everywhere. "Cheating on me O'brien?" She chuckled. His face went red.
"No! M-My gay dads don't understand that I'm old enough to buy my own and that I don't have sex 24/7!" He put his head on the steering wheel hiding his blushing face. Lillian just laughed harder. She didn't want to seem rude but she found it interesting and hilarious.

"My Baby!" Maria ran up to Lillian and hugged her. "Aw, your growing up on me makes me sad." Maria sighed. John nodded from the counter.
"Well, I came for the last bit of my stuff. Almost fully moved in with O'Brien here." She smiled taking Jerry's hand into her own. Maria nodded and smiled remembering the enjoyment of moving in with the one you love. Even though she and John took longer than Lillian and Jerry she knew they were good. They've known each other since they were 4 and ever since then it just sprouted.
"Ok baby take your time."
"Will do Mamma." Lillian still has that Irish tint to her British accent. Jerry found it adorable and loved it.
☏︎ *a month later (sorry for the time skip)*
"Welcoming to the stage Moon People!" Lillian, Kat, Jerry, and Robert all walked into camera view. They all sat down. "So first thing firsts I need to know. Mrs. O'brien how is your father?" Lillian stayed quiet knowing her father quite all this.
"He's alive and well that's all you need to know." She smiled and Jerry smiled at her.
"So we're you and Mr. O'brien around during Freddie Mercury's passing?" Kat cleared her voice.
"Are these 50 questions about things besides our band?" Kat questioned.
"Yes, my apologies. Now, what is the song Smile truly about?"
"I'm unsure because it was a Believe song that we covered. My fathers wrote it with Lil's mother and Aunt Sherry." The interviewer nodded. Time went on of course. More interviews and albums. Kids and marriages. Happiness in this ending just missing one thing. This story was told in the third person so that means someone experienced it. But as the narrator, I should describe myself. Hi, I'm Ann O'Brien. Daughter of Jerry and Lillian O'Brien. My grandmother Maria Deacon explained to me the weird things that happened in her younger days. Some stories I find funny and enjoyable.
"Ann dinner!" Lillian yelled. Mum's calling but goodbye...
For now 😉
