A New Begining

Chapter 1-Trying to Start Over

Coming back to Forks after all of this time feels good. I know I have a lot to do to make up for what happened. I know Bella has been thinking about me and I've been thinking about her, at least that is what I'm telling myself so I don't chicken out and turn around. I'm on my way to Charlie's, I know this is the one place that I will be welcome with open arms.

I get out of my car and knock on the door, after a minute I see the same old Charlie answer.

"How can I help you?" He says

"Hey Charlie, its been a long time." I state.

"Kora, is that you?" Charlie says looking like he had seen a ghost.

"Yes it's me, but I go by Alexa now. Can I come in, I have a long story to tell you?"

"Ya sure,come on in."

As I sit down I can see nothing had changed. Same arrangement, same sports game on TV, same Charlie. Glad to see I haven't missed much here. Even though I came here to find my real parents and brother, I still liked Charlie and even considered him a Dad in some ways. 

"Well I have to first apologize for the way that I left so quickly." I said, "It was very childish and irresponsible of me, but I was still a child after all."

Charlie's eyes got big around, and I could see he was surprised by my taking responsibility for my actions.

"Well how have you been?" Charlie asked.

"I have been wonderful! I finished school online, got my collage degree in Greek and Roman Mythology and I have an apartment in New York."

"Well you have gotten a lot of things done. What brings you back to Forks? Not trying to be rude."

"Well you see, I hate the way I just left and I have an apology to give to everyone if I caused any worry."

"I can call Bella and tell her to come over if you like."

"Oh no, that won't be needed, I'm headed over there right now. I just stopped by to asked if you knew a place I could stay while I'm visiting?"

"Well your old bedroom is just the way you left it. You could stay here if you like."

"Thanks, but I was thinking more of a motel. I would hate to just come unannounced then take a room."

"It's no problem, the room never gets used anyway."

"OK, I guess I'm staying here then, there no negotiating this is there?"

"No, not really"

"I will be back later, but for now I think I'm going to pay my big sister a little visit. "And with that I left to go find Edward.

I know this is short but it is more of an introduction for the second book. Comment and tell me if you have any ideas for this story. I am up for suggestions!
