Chapter 2 Trying to Put Back the Pieces

Edward's pov

"Your thinking about her again, aren't you?" I asked Bella.

"Yes I am, it's just that I will remember that day forever, the way she felt trapped, the way she looked at everyone and the way that she was chased like an animal being hunted." She said

"Love, it's not your fault she left, it's mine. I don't know how she blocked her scent and mind to me, but she did. She left for a reason, maybe one day she will come back and explain why."

"It's the five year anniversary of that day today. Five years ago I lost my sister all because of a stupid vampire who wanted revenge. " 

"Edward I need to speak to you privately..." Said a mysterious noise in my head.

"I have to go love, I have something in need to discuss with Alice. I will be back soon, try and relax everything will be alright in the end. I can just feel it." Edward said.

"Come this way..." the voice said.

I ran and found myself in a cave on the mountain. 

Alexa's pov

I knew I wanted to approach Edward first because he would not have any assumptions about where I've been or what I have been doing in these last 5 years. Finding him is not hard, but how am I going to get him away from Bella and the Cullen family? If I talk to him the rest of the Cullens will hear me and if I approach him, he will see me. Just  then I remember his gift and deside to go with that, but what do I say to get him to come alone? I guess just keeping it casual will work? I hope this works. 

"Edward I need to speak to you privately..." 

'Did it work?', I ask myself, just then I hear someone running through the forest, I guess it did. I start running up to the mountains where I know we can talk privately and deside how we are going to tell Bella I've returned to Forks. 

Once I feel like we are fair enough away, I stop and prepare myself to come face-to-face with a possibly very angry vampire.

"Well Edward, longtime no see...how's my favorite brother in law been lately? " I ask.

"Alexa? We thought you had died. Bella was worried sick for years and still thinks about you quite often." Edward says.

"Well I'm good at hiding in places where I know I won't be found. It kinda comes naturally to me, you know. It's like I'm part animal or something...weird right?" I say sarcastically.

"I don't mean to seem rude, but why have you chosen now to come back?"

"I have been thinking about you a lot lately, and I guess I just thought it would be nice to come back and tell you all I'm not dead."

He sits still for a while not talking, but studying me, as if he it trying to see if I'm still me.

"You know, has anyone ever told you it's impolite to stare at people?" I say, raising an eyebrow.

"I'm sorry, forgive me. It's just I forgot I can't hear your thoughts just like I can't hear Bella's, it irritates me when I'm not one step ahead of someone like I'm used to."

"I have a little favor to ask of you, would you be willing to help me on an evil little crusade? I promise it will all end well and everyone will know that I am back in town."

"What did you have in mind?" Edward asked 

"I decide I want to make my arivel a little more interesting than just stopping by the Cullen house. I will go into my wolf form, because then they will definitely think I'm just Seth. Then I will lead them to La Push and get them to get the pack. After they see that Seth is in human form and I'm obviously not him, I will either get a million hugs from everyone, or be scolded and yelled at for an hour. Either way, it will be fun for me, and you will be the only one who knows."

"That plan seems risky and some things have changed since you left. People have changed, relationships have formed and some members of both the pack and my family would do whatever it takes to protect the ones they love, including  Bella, Seth and Jacob." said Edward.

"Well that's a risk willing to take, your either with me or against me on this. Take your pick!" I said in a playful way

"I'm not saying yes, but what you have in mind for me to do?" Edward asked
