Chapter 4: Temple of the two Dracones

A few weeks later the four kept looking for the shards and Artemis started to act different the more she acted this way the more cautious the three got so when the four were planning on going back to New York Jason gathered Serena and Maxwell and he said, "Alright now that we're all here I'd like to point out that I think Artemis is acting different like she's being controlled I mean look over there". The two looked and see Artemis doing black magic instead of looking for the other shards and then they see a shadow behind her telling her to do something once she was done, she said, "Guys come on we're going to Komodo Island, Indonesia" and they went through the portal. "Well would you look at that...Komodo Island, Indonesia" said Jason, the four were going to the temple Of the two Dracones in which was underneath the temple itself but what was underneath the temple wasn't the shard, but it was an egg "what an egg doing down here?" said Serena, "This isn't some egg Serena, this is a dragon egg," said Artemis. "Artemis explain this to me please, how many years does it take for a dragon to hatch exactly?" said Jason stuttering and she responded, "well it takes 2000 to 4000 years why?" "Artemis look at the egg... it's about to hatch!" screamed Jason. The egg started to hatch bit by bit but the dragon looked different more of a mix. "Artemis, can I talk to you outside for a moment?" said Jason and as the two walked outside Jason said "Artemis are you sure you're ok you've been acting different lately" she replied "Jason I'm fine you don't need to worry for me" but he knew something was wrong.

"Artemis be honest with me I know you and you would never act like this so... what really happened back there in the portal" said Jason but Artemis said nothing but "Let me ask you this Jason Rivera if you were being controlled would you realize it?" and then it hit him Artemis wouldn't say or even joke about something like that so he waited till she walked for a bit then he pinned her to the ground. Artemis kept trying to resist, Serena and Luke saw the two fighting and it looked as if one was about to get the other to surrender for dominance but Jason's blade out of nowhere when Artemis pushed him the blade scarred her eye but instead she started to laugh and say "you really think that hurts me, your only hurting Artemis not me so I'll let her go for now" Morgan let Artemis go and now gone no one knows where she is. Artemis felt guilty for her actions and didn't speak throughout the whole day until "Artemis it's not your fault... you just didn't know what would've happened she just got to your head that's all" said Serena but Artemis kept thinking why? Why did I do that I'm so naive but Morgan's to blame... she's to blame for all this so now Artemis was furious instead of feeling guilty, Luke starts to see Artemis's anger and he sees why so he talks with the other two and says "I think Artemis is starting to think that violence can help her...look" and he'd show them what Artemis is "it wasn't her fault the only one to blame is Morgan so why don't give her a second chance" said Luke, Serena agreed and after some convincing Jason agreed as well.
