-Amelia-
He was here again, not too far from the school gates, leaning on his bike, arms crossed, taking no notice of the girls who stare admiringly as they walk past him. Whereas, I couldn't walk towards him at all.
-flashback-
We pulled apart from the kiss once more and despite my whole body burning to be closer to him, I pushed him gently away from me.
"I'm not yours," I say which makes him look at me with eyes that were hard to look at. I knew he was confused but they shone with such longing and desperation that it was hard for me to reject them but I had to.
"What?" He asks me.
I looked back up at him, I had to stay strong, for, "For myself. I can't be yours now, for myself." That was all I was able to say despite my mind racing with words.
I wanted him, and I missed him but I was still hurt and hurting and as alone as it makes me feel, I needed to know he wanted me as much as I wanted him if I were to trust him again.
I couldn't tell him that for fear that he would just tell me what I wanted to hear so after I gave him my answer, I looked him in the eye in silence, watching as his own eyes darted between my own for a moment before nodding.
"I understand, but," I waited,
"I will make you mine."
-End of Flashback-
I stood back in a little embarrassment at the memory. I knew my willpower wasn't that strong and if I was testing him for my trust, giving in to him this quickly wouldn't achieve anything.
"Amelia!" I turned, hoping Prince didn't hear that call, to see Lara pointing at Derek's car. She must have realised what I was so worried over. I grin in her direction, I love her. I grabbed my bag from the floor and I was about to go running in her direction when I felt a hand hold my wrist.
"Where do you think you're going?" Prince's voice asks from inches behind me before spinning me and pinning me against the tree I was hiding behind with my arm above my head. His cocky smirk that I hadn't seen for ages was back on his face.
The girls earlier were right to stare at him. The way he dressed, the way he held himself, the way he looked as if he didn't owe the world anything. He was hot. And I couldn't help but stare too. "I was going to go home with Lara and Derek," I answer him, hoping to borrow some of his aurae whilst doing so. "Problem?"
His smirk widened when looking at me, looking down at my lips with no shame. "Yes, actually," he says back before leaning down into my ear, "I'm your protector after all," I hated how I loved the sound of his voice.
Seeing as I wasn't arguing back this time, he kept hold of my hand before walking us towards his bike, momentarily pausing and looking back at Lara, shouting, "I win this time!" Which makes me shake my head in order to keep myself from laughing.
I got on his bike and with little time, we were racing down the street at speeds that my hair missed being flown through.
"I hate you for that," I say to Prince, holding onto his waist tightly despite it.
He glances back at me for a second before replying, "Deny it all you want Princess, but you love me."
I jokingly roll my eyes at his words but lean my head against his back, closing my eyes and enjoying the journey.
It wasn't long after that that we got to our destination and as we got off, I couldn't help but miss his comforting warmth.
-Prince-
Her warmth. I missed that as she climbed off my bike and started walking into the bar after handing my helmet back.
She gave me the determination I hadn't felt in a long time, after just one night, and it felt amazing.
What was more amazing was her. She walked into the bar as if it was her home. Her relationships with people, her respected skills, her charm. I loved watching it all come to light in a way it hadn't in over a month with the people around her.
They loved her, it was obvious, she was their Princess,
And I was determined to make her my Princess too.
I found myself touching my lips, remembering how it felt to kiss her again and I couldn't help but smile in restrained joy. Fuck. I was addicted to it.
"Took your time!" I suddenly hear Xavier say from next to me, his hair grabbing breaking me out of my trance.
I gave him some sort of excuse but found myself watching Amelia again, meeting her eye, having her smile before she looks away.
She smiled.
"Damn, I knew you guys had history but it's only been two days,"
"It's not like that," I grin as I push Xavier off of me and walked into our training room.
I could tell he gave me a knowing look but I ignored it, or I was going to ignore it when I remembered that he would probably be the best person to talk to about this since he knew her so well.
"Actually, I'm trying to get her to give me another chance," I tell him as we wrap our hands.
He glances up at me, looking as if he was thinking for a moment before he shakes his head.
"I'm probably not the best person to ask for love advice, Prince, I can barely handle my own romance,"
His words distracted me, "Wait, you have a girlfriend?"
"Why do you look so surprised? I'm fucking irresistible," He boasts, proudly looking at himself in the mirror in our room.
It wasn't that I thought he couldn't get a girlfriend, he just seemed more like the lone rich man sort. And I told him that, which made him laugh in reply.
"Maybe I am that sort which leads to my relationship problems."
As we trained I coerced him to say more, not trying to pry too much but he seemed like he was holding himself back from saying what he wanted to say.
"My girlfriend's a stubborn woman. Sexy as fuck herself, but stubborn. She loves riling me up, she loves testing me, but jokes on her because despite it all," He paused, making us hold a defence position where I could see his eyes clearly and even before he finished, I already knew what he was going to say,
"I love her."
He flipped me around, making me crash into the floor, groaning in regrettable pain as he finished,
"And no matter how much she challenges me, I will prove that to her."
I stayed lying on the floor thinking about his words for a moment before grinning at the ceiling. I had to thank the man someday.
He gave me the answer I needed.
