Chapter 1: "Baby I'm busy"

"Bro this motherfucker is killing me rn, HOW IS HE- Oh hi baby" l/n said while keeping his eyes glued to his PC. "Hi, um yk some company would be great downstairs"  I said in an angry and sad tone, he'd been on that game for 6 hours and it was almost 8 pm. I was starting to feel lonely and desperate for just one word of him being directed to me. "Oh right..I'm so sorry baby it's just that I'm in a comp game and I don't wanna lose. I promise once I finish I'll give you all the attention in the world I promise baby" he said as he had still kept his eyes stuck to his PC. I grabbed his chin and turned it towards me slowly, making his eyes focus on mine. "Can you at least say it while looking at me? I mean it's been 6 lonely hours and the only thing missing is you." I saw his eyes soften up as I spoke, I could tell his intentions to get back to game disappeared in those few seconds until one of his friends spoke. "Yo, are you still there?" His eyes quickly lightened up as he lifted his head. "Yeah bro just give me a quick sec I gotta go to the bathroom real quick" he replied. I turned around to make my way downstairs but he grabbed my arm gently. I turned around and caught a glimpse of his screen, a little mic icon with a red line across it on the corner of his PC. He muted his mic I believe. "Baby I'm sorry, I know I've been on this game for hours but I promise like actually promise that once I'm done I'll make sure to give you all the attention you didn't get in those 6 hours." As much as I was tempted to forgive him and let him finish, I replied, "How is it that I have to wait more time after waiting over 6 hours for you to come down and ask me about my day or what I did?" He looked down for a second before lifting his head up and looking me in my eyes. I could see his regret in his eyes but then a little sparkle appeared in his eyes, "I'm truly sorry, but I have an idea." I turned my head slightly to my left and put my attention towards him. "How about I let you sit on my lap and you can watch and hear me play?" He asked, I refused to do so in my mind but I didn't want to keep going back and forth, so I agreed innocently.
