"and how in the ever living fuck are we gonna figure that out?" myc whined like a scolded child, senses telling him he'd actually be put to work for this mission.

"okay just.. one second lemme think." reagan muttered, fingers tapping rhythmically against JR's wooden desk, loud against the heavy silence of the room. y/n, from sheer boredom, blew a smoke ring, quickly dissolving in the air conditioned office. "well, anyone we all think is suspicious?"

a few exchanged looks went through the room, odd hesitant nods of heads following in pursuit. "okay, so let's start there?"

reagan nodded slowly. "yeah.. okay, glenn and y/n stay, keep guard and keep combing through footage-"

"me?! stay here? cmon ray, i'm goin outta my fuckin mind." she groaned, tapping the ashes of her cigarette away in disinterest. "i promise my foots fine, just-"

"alright damn, cmon then. glenn, you stay here, the rest of us will go and look for suspicious people and the intruder i guess." reagan sighed lightly and pulled a switch on the wall next to her. the walls fell away to reveal a collection of different weapons, any and every kind the mind could imagine. "that's sick." andre grinned, eyes gleaming as he took a rocket launcher from it place on the wall.

gigis eyes narrowed as she grabbed a handful of throwing stars, eyes focused on the biochemist. "that's only to be used in emergency, got it?" he grumbled on reply, hand caressing the machinery on his shoulder. "we'll see.."

brett took a katana because he's a basic white male and decided he wanted to be 'like in the movies.' reagan had her mechanical arms, equipped with guns and ammo. myc had an assortment of both knives and guns, one for each tentacle. y/n chose a simple knife, mostly because she needed something to stub her cigarette out on that wouldn't catch fire.

brett watched as the girl tucked the knife into her waistband, light smile on his face. "y/n, are you sure you're okay to come with-"

her robotic foot stomped hard on the ground to prove her point, a light wince flashing across her face but other than that, stoic. "my foots fine, i'll keep up." she mumbled in annoyance. she knew brett was just being nice, but jesus, it wasn't like her whole leg was gone.

a smirk twitched on andres lips, begging to be released. he loved how stubborn she was, whether that was good or bad he didn't care.

"just don't do anything stupid." reagan mumbled, head turning back to the group before walking into the hallway, entourage following in close pursuit behind.

"dyou think it could be another species? rivals maybe?" gigi spoke up, piquing the interest of a few heads in the group. "yknow, like the atlantians would have good reason to. and i mean, i guess the reptilians too."

"i think we need to question who has the ability to get their hands on technology like that." y/n spoke up. "i mean, the atlantians aren't that advanced considering technology.. the reptilians on the other hand is a massive possibility; they have camouflage remember? other than that, it's either somebody here, who if they are working here, wouldn't need to use a cloaking device, or.." she thought carefully for a moment before speaking again. "it could be the illuminati."

all eyes turned to the young girl, unexpected attention causing some sort a distress within her. "what?"

reagan smiled lightly. "you're smart y/n."

"i know." she grinned with glee at the praise from her friend, andre gently elbowing her side. "detective y/n holmes has a good ring to it."

y/n rolled her eyes. "that was the dumbest thing i've heard from you in a while... listen, what if we all go to our own departments? talk to who we think is suspicious there and then get back to each other?"
