You and Signora had been meeting eachother at the gardens for about two weeks now, though it was never planned, it had become sort of a thing between you two. No doubt, every time you went there, she would be waiting for you.

Though Signora didn't talk much about herself, you could tell she enjoyed listening to you talk about, well, everything. Whether it was the way you cared about your little siblings, or the way you talked with joy about the small adventures you would have from time to time, she loved listening to you.

On this particular day, Signora was going to the usual place the two of you would meet up, though she was quite late due to work. Though there was never a set time for your small meet-ups, Signora found it odd that you were not here yet, as Signora was late by at least an hour.

She sat in her usual spot anyways, admiring the scenery while she waited. A while later, and still no sign of you there. Signora decided to leave eventually, seeing as you likely weren't coming, and simply brushed it off, thinking you had probably just gotten busy with other matters.

Until the next day, when it happened again.

And again the day after that.

'Where is she?' Signora thought while seated at the desk in her office 'I haven't seen her anywhere for the past three days..is Y/n alright?' As she thought that, she realized something 'Wait, am I actually worried for her? Ugh, this is troublesome. I shoudn't care this much for a human. No, not again...'

She snapped herself out of her thoughts, remembering there was still work to be done.

She picked up the pen that had been resting next to her arm, and began another hours worth of paperwork.

A little more than an hour has passed now, and all of Signora's work was complete, all stacked neatly in a pile on the front of the desk. Seeing as there was nothing left for her to do for the day, she decided to head home early. As she stepped out of the office, she noticed a certain ginger walking past. Though he seemed..off. He wasn't acting like normal, well, normal for him at least.

Right about now is when he should be conducting training with his unit, though from the direction he was heading in, it seemed like he was leaving early as well. As much as Signora did not like interacting with Childe, she had gotten a little curious about what was going on.

"Hey, what's been up with you?" Signora asked him in a slightly rude tone. Could she have said it nicer? Yes. Did she want to? Absolutely not.

"Why would you care?" He questioned in the same tone, clearly not having it.

"Well, I couldn't help noticing you look half-dead. Not exactly normal for you"

Childe sighed before answering her, having a look of worry on is face, now acting genuinley concerned about something "It's...about my older sister, Y/n, who you seem to be familiar with." As he said that, he shot Signora a look, clearly having not forgoten the interaction in the forest.

"Anyways" He continued "She has this illness, though most of the time it doesn't affect her too much. Though recently..she has gotten much worse, and is in no condition to do, well, anything. It's been like this for the past few days, and I've been getting worried."

'Wait. What? She had never told me about this. Although that would explain why she hasn't been around the past few days..' She thought

"Well, now that I've answered your question, I have places to be" Childe said, then turning, and walking out of the palace.

Signora waited a moment before leaving to make sure they didn't end up walking the same way, then walking out of the palace as well, making her way over to the carrige, and went to her home.

Signora was laying in bed that night, her gaze fixed upon the pearl white ceiling above her, as she thought about what Childe had said. Her mind was racing with thoughts, such as

'Y/n is sick?' 'How long has this been happening for?' 'Is she going to be alright?' 'How bad really is her condition?' 'Will I get to see her again?'

As much as she didn't want to admit it, Signora had grown quite fond of you over the past few weeks. After all this time, it felt like she finally had someone. For years, she had secretley yearned for someone who would talk to her, someone who genuinley seemed to care about her, someone who would just be there for her. Someone to rescue her from this pit of lonelyness she had fallen into. That someone was you.

You.

You with that smile she loved seeing, you with the melodic way you spoke to her, you, being the only one daring to speak so casually to her, as it if were nothing.

When you didn't show up for a few days, it had felt like something important was missing to her.

Though she wanted to push you away, not wanting to get hurt again, you were just too kind. She wanted-no-she needed to see that you were ok.

Signora decided to pay you a visit the next day with the thought 'Just visiting a friend' in her mind. She could never take it beyond that, no, never again.

Unless...
