I spent all night in the hospital with the Clearwater family holding Seth and Leah as they said their final goodbyes to uncle harry,
I was right, tragically, uncle harry had fought until everyone had said goodbye and then he took his last breath,
It was painful, a weight settling on my chest and shoulders,
I hadn't felt this way since they left and that was months ago.
Sighing softly I leaned against Paul my eyes finally falling closed after the countless hours I had spent with my family grieving the loss of one of our own,
Paul gently kissed my forehead, tucking me against his side as he drove us down the road to my house,
I needed more clothes and though papa had offered I could see how much sue needed him,
The woman was strong that was for sure but once Seth and Leah had fallen asleep absolutely exhausted from all their crying I had watched as she broke practically collapsing into my father as he held her and whispered apologies,
"It's gonna be okay mamas," Paul uttered softly and I nodded slowly.
"It hurts bubs," I whispered and he sighed softly gently brushing a baby hair from my face,
"I know mamas I know, but we gotta be strong, harry would want us to," he told me and I nodded tears slowly making their way down my face,
"I just...he was just here, laughing and telling stories...he was just here," I sniffled and Paul pulled me closer cutting the engine to his truck signalling that we were at the house.
"Shhh, I know mamas I know," he choked up tears of his own surfacing,
Paul's father wasn't the best man in the world, Old quill and Uncle harry usually looked after him, keeping him out of trouble,
I hugged him tightly practically in his lap as he wrapped his arms around my his shoulders shaking slightly as he silently grieved the man.
