chp 9 The Movie

DEMETRI POV

I adjusted my backpack onto my back and took a deep breath.

I was going to ask Lara out.

Not later, not tomorrow

Now

I approached the LaRusso's garden and knocked on the door, Sam answered.

"Hey! We're just voting on a movie Demetri! Come on in!"

I nod and walk to the couch where I see Lara.  I instantly get cramps in my stomach and drop my bag on the rack.

I'll just do it later.

I peep in my bag to make sure the flowers are safe..

Hibiscus'..... Her favourite.

FLASHBACK TO CHAPTER THREE

"Not really. But anyway, will u help?"

"Sure. I don't really know what Yas likes tho. Sure, we used to be friends..but she was a total bitch to Aisha."

"Just, tell me what you like..I'll focus off that."

"Oh uh ok? Well you need to do little cute gestures for her. Like flowers..or chocolates!!"

"What type of flowers?"

"Well, my favourites are Hibiscuses! But I think Yas likes Orchids."

"Oh uh Hibiscuses..great."

"No? Mines Hibiscus.. hers is ORCHIDS... remember?"

"Oh uh yeah yeah sorry. I don't really care for that stuff. I'll just charm her, you know?"

" lady killer for sure."

END OF FLASHBACK

I take a deep breath and sit beside her on the couch..

She pushes her velvety curls from her face and looks down and her popcorn before gesturing to the bag of M&Ms I just picked up.

"You thinking what I'm thinking ?"

I nod

I open the bag of M&MS and dump them into the popcorn..

We ended up watching Harry Potter.

The movies nearly over and I noticed Lara hasn't went in for popcorn in a while. I think nothing of it and focus on the movie..

Then I feel a head thump onto my shoulder.

Lara's

Oh shitttt

I go all red and look forward at Miguel and Moon.

Moon squeals and Sam puts her finger to her lip and shushes Moon.

The movie ends and Lara stays safety asleep on my shoulder.

The others turn to me.

"So ...you like her?" Miguel asks.

"Uh ...yeah ...I plan on asking her out after this ....."

"Really? That's great!" Moon squeals, I feel Lara's head lift from my shoulder and I quiet down...

"Oh my gosh. I'm sorry Dem."

"Sorry? It's fine don't worry. But uhhh."

My palms go all sweaty.

"C-can I speak t-,to you....out...outside?"

"Uh sure?"

I grab my backpack and run out of the LaRusso's house and to their backyard.

Lara follows and looks at me, I fumble in my bag for a moment.

I take out the flowers that are somewhat in tact still.

I push them to her chest awkwardly then push them back to mine.

"Uhh... hibiscus'....your favourite, right?" I awkwardly hand them to her.

LARA'S POV

He hands me the flowers.

"Dem, these Are beautiful...thank you.. but I thought you...liked Yasmine?"

"Uh well....these are uh..JUST A PRESENT."

WHAT?

"Oh....okay....thank you Demetri."

DEMETRI POV

Why did I do that?!?

I like her I really do...

"I- I'm sorry i-"

"No! Don't apologize I mean, I liked them..."

"You do?"

"Of course!"

"Great!"

She walks back into the house and I stand there in shock for a moment...

Why did I do that?!

soooo ik I'm gonna get a few mixed feelings BECAUSE they aren't dating yet.....buhhhhttt...i actually have a better idea ......and I actually am planing on finishing this book and making more partsssss!!! Anyway sorry for the short chapter...anyway back to mixed feelings, there is going to be a surprise towards this books end ORRRR possibly book 2?

And...I will make a prequel...because these two...have wayyy more history..
