I stare down at my magazine while talking to Demetri on the phone
"Genius of love" By the Tom Tom Club playing in the back
"Can you come over?" Demetri asks, "I need to speak to you..."
Confused, I agree.
I wait outside to see Demetri , messing with his thumbs .
HSJSJSHSH HIM 💕💕
I walk over and look at him, his face instantly relaxing.
"Uh, Lara....I, uh....would you.....can you be my girlfriend...?" He pulls out a bouquet of Hibiscus' from behind his back.
I look him in the eye.
"Yes....."
I press my lips on his. Never wanting this moment to stop.
"So that's a yes?"
"YES!"

3 WEEKS LATER.
DEMETRI puts his lanky arms over my shoulder, pulling me in.
"Can't believe you two are together." Hawk remarks.
"Neither can I!" Demetri smiles
"I'm happy for you two. I've been waiting since 6th grade!"
"What do you mean?" I ask confused.
"Dingus has liked you since sixth gra-"
"WHAT? IS IT GETTING HOT? ILL OPEN A WINDOW!!"
"you have?" I ask, genuinely shocked.
"Uh...yes..."
I giggle and ruffle his raven coloured hair.
"Your so cute babe..."
