A green bus with the words "Beacon Academy" would roll to a stop at a bus station. The doors would open as the students aboard starts unloading onto the sidewalk. Team RWBY and JNPR would exit with a bunch of beach supplies and a basket containing cookies, sandwiches, and some drinks.
Max: "Gather around, students!" Max would shout from atop of a crate as the students start to circle up. "Welcome to Little Menagerie! You all will have 6 hours to do whatever you want before meeting back here to return to Beacon Academy. Down this street is the famous crystal beach, which I am sure the majority of you will visit, and to the right, is the shopping district! Any questions before I send you off?"
All of the students would remain silent, hoping to go, but Blake would raise her hand, which got alot of groans.
Max: "What's up, Ms Belladonna?"
Blake: "Why is this place called little Menagerie?"
Max would chuckle.
Max: "Well, the majority of the residents in this part of the City of Vale are Faunas, and throughout you could see the faunas culture that these residents bring from the actual Menagerie in Mistral. All in all, this is a pretty good place to learn more about the Faunas people, and I recommend that you all visit the museum if you have time."
For some reason, this little fact would make Blake smile.
Max: "Alright, if you need me I will be hanging out in the shopping district, ask around and I am sure a resident will point you in my general direction." Max would say before bringing his hands apart before clapping them together. "Break! See you back here in 6 hours!" Max would shout as the students broke off into different directions.
Ruby: "Alright! To Crystal Beach!" Ruby would shout as WY and JNPR would raise their arms high.
WY & JNPR: "YEAH!"
Blake: "Uh, I think that I actually might walk around? If that is ok with everyone."
Yang: "Eh, no problem for me! Just don't get yourself in..turoble (turtle+trouble)?" Yang would say before slapping her knee and laughing hysterically, which got multiple eye rolls from her friends.
Max would walk off to the residential district, the sounds of his students becoming ever fainter as he got further and further away from the train station. Multiple Faunas residents would greet Max and in return, Max would do the same.
???: "Is that, Maxwell Vermillion over there?" A granny's voice would shout from across the street.
Max would look across the street, trying to identify the voice before smiling.
Max: "Hi, Ms Yancy!" Max would shout back before waving to the old crab faunas. "How are you faring this fine morning!"
Ms Yancy: "Can't complain! Can't complain! What are you doing here in little menagerie?! Are you here to see your girlfriend?!"
Max would chuckle.
Max: "Maybe." Max would say with a sly grin, as Ms Yancy clapped her hands together.
Ms Yancy: "Young love! Gotta love it! It really brings me back to me and Eugene when we first dated!"
Max: "I am sure it does! Anyway, how is the old fart?"
Ms Yancy: "Eugene? You know him, playing with his ship collection!"
Max: "I sure do!"
Ms Yancy: "Anyway, Maxwell, when you return please stop by! I am making my famous bread pudding and will leave you a to go plate!"
Max: "Thanks, Ms Yancy!"
Ms Yancy would nod before heading back inside her house. Max would softly smile as he walked off, placing his hands in his pocket as he traversed the streets of the residential district. His eyes would be drawn to a flower shop that he use to frequent with his teammates when they were still in Vale. He'd look around before entering the flower shop.
~Blake~
Blake's eyes would shine as multiple Faunas would walk up and down the streets of Little Menagerie without any fear from being discriminated as a Faunas. Even the humans in this part of little menagerie are jovial and could be seen exiting bars hand in hand with a random faunas while laughing at one another drunken predicament. School children would walk down the sreets, singing an old Faunas Folk Lore, while heading to the environmental observatory to begin their lesson on agriculture. A faunas police officer would exit a donuts shop with a box of donuts before tossing a donuts to his partner before entering his cruiser and driving off.
Blake: "This place is so ordinary...and reminds me of home so much..." Blake would say with a soft smile before walking down the street. "I wonder if the other kingdoms have their own version of Menagerie...atleast one that is as prosperous as this one."
???: "Yeah yeah yeah!" A faunas would shout into her phone as she paced beside Blake. "Well, you tell the publisher to either accept the damn book or shove it up his ass!"
Hearing the word publisher, Blake would turn her head to the right to see if this person is anybody that she knows.
???: "Oh he is on the line? Well Michael! Accept the damn book or shove it up your ass!" The faunas would shout into the phone before ending the call.
The author would turn her head to Blake.
Author: "Sorry for interrupting your little moment, kid."
Blake would nod.
Blake: "If you don't mind me asking, what genre do you write?" Blake would say tilting her head, trying to figure out if this author is someone she knows.
Author: "Well, I use to write love books, but now I am trying to dive into the mystery genre-"
Blake: "Wait, what love book did you write?"
The author would reach into her coat pocket and take out a book as a blush would appear on Blake's face.
Blake: "Oh. My. Oum."
~Max~
Max would exit the flower shop with a bouquet of daisy flowers flowers before walking even deeper into the residential district.
