Joshua gaped at me while I walked up the stairs towards him. Eryn was also there, although she didn't seem to care about my presence as much.

When I sat down on the very left, I looked at both of them and smiled.

Joshua remained agape.

"Is..." I squinted my eyes at him while asking Eryn, "Is he okay?"

"You tell me, he's been baffled the entire time you were gone." She shrugged. "What gracious stunt did you pull?"

"It's not that big of a deal, I won my last match."

"Uh huh, yeah I think I gathered that from Joshua's face," Eryn pointed at him as his hand was now on his forehead. "I meant what did you actually do in the battle, genius."

"Right, of course, I beat Zane's sister," Her face replicated Joshua's earlier face. "It's a little embarrassing...and gross, I kind of went overboard and turned her face into a pulp."

Her hands landed on the sides of her head, mouth still wide open.

"No fucking wonder Jo' made it so awkward before you came!"

"You see why I wasn't speaking now?" He finally spoke up.

"Yes, yes I do," Her hands fell, with one covering her mouth and chin. "Lemme' pick up what you're putting down right now, you, Skyler, not only beat a Maxwell, but also so bad that her face was, and I quote, a pulp?"

"I mean, I guess yeah?" I smiled.

"How'd you even do that, man?"

"If I have to be honest? I'm not quite sure."

"Right." She crossed her arms.

A brief pause ensued.

"Joshua," I placed my hand on his shoulder. "What's up bro?" I smirked at Eryn, it felt weird saying bro.

"Bro?!" He rapidly faced me. "Since when do you call me that?"

"Since...yeah" I was lost for words.

"Haven't you guys been friends since you were like, tiny?" Eryn furrowed her eyebrows.

"Yeah...and?" I responded

"And you've never, I don't know, called him bro?"

"I guess not?"

"Wait how the hell do you know that we've been friends for a while?!" Joshua asked.

"You're kidding, right?" She smirked.

"It's that obvious huh?" He replied.

"Way too fucking obvious."

"Listen, Sky," A few seconds passed since anyone had spoken. "Sorry for acting weird just now, I was jus worried."

"Worried? For what?"

"For you, since when do you beat someone until they're barely breathing?"

"What?"

"You were screaming in joy and, hatred? I think? Do you even remember what you did?"

I completely forgot about that part. I would've thought that someone should remember a detail like that.

Just as I was surprised from the influx of memories, I was also confused at Joshua's sudden burst.

"I do, I'm not sure what you want me to say Josh." I frowned.

"Yo, Josh, I know I'm kind of a third wheel here but you should stop being so worried for Sky."

"Pardon?"
