Alice Kane - The 100

1 - The start of it all

As I'm going through everything in the storage room, searching for clothes for Octavia, I hear the doors open. "Oh shit" I curse under my breath. I try to hid but see who is coming through the room. I see my father come in here and look around the room, "Alice I know you're in here. What are you doing in here?" I come around the corner, with a couple shirts in my hands. 

"I was looking for a few shirts since a few of mine got ruined. I didn't have anything I could trade in to get a nice enough one, so I came here," I lied. My clothes are fine, Octavia just grew out of her clothes saying she is 16 now, she doesn't really fit into the clothes she's had since she was 12. Yes, I know about Octavia, I am dating Bellamy after all. Plus, their mother, Aurora has been there since my mother passed away when I was 2. 

"Alice, go. I won't say anything, I don't want you to get locked up, just go," my father quickly said to me. I run out hoping I don't run into anyone. 

I go to my room, putting all the clothes in a bag of mine, then head over the Blake's apartment. 

I knock on the door, "Hey, it's  Alice!" Aurora opened the door smiling at me, "Oh hello there honey, come on in. Bellamy is still working his shift, but he should be back shorty." 

She closes the door, "I got some clothes for you O." I hand her my bag, and she starts taking them out and putting her old ones in the bag. I take her old bags and trade them in for anything that they need. "Thank you so much Ali" Octavia says giving me a hug. Aurora stood there in the corner smiling as us. She sends me a nod, while I'm hugging Octavia. We all here a knock, "Its me" us knowing that's Bellamy's voice. 

"Hi mom, hi O, and hello beautiful," he says pulling me into a hug and kissing my head. "What are you doing here baby?" He asks me, "I brought some more clothes to Octavia" he smiles and mumbles a "thank you" in my ear, hugging me again. He takes his jacket off and hangs it on the back of a chair. He comes over to me, grabs my waist and has me come sit with him on the couch. I sit down with him and snuggle into him a bit. 

"How was your shift Bell?" I ask him, "It was alright, nothing new." He then lays his head on my chest. After a few moments of silence, I hear soft snores coming from Bellamy. "He loves you a lot, you know" Aurora says, sitting next to us in a chair. I smile at her, "I know, he really makes an effort to make sure I know. I am so lucky to have you all. I love you all so much." I reply back to her. I don't know where I would be without them. 

I start to drift off to sleep, when a knock from the door awakes me. "Open up, surprise routine check," I hear. I wake up O, "hey they're here, you need to go under now." Octavia nods and goes under the floor. "Come on, open up" I rush to the door, checking to make sure she's covered. "Hello, sorry were all sleeping" I say, trying to cover everything up, they go around and leave. I sigh in relief. 

I go over to Bellamy and decide to wake him up, "Bell, baby. Wake up, let's go to your room." He just groans in response then finally gets up. "I'll come back in the morning before your shift, okay Bell?" I say, "No, stay" he says laying down with his arms open. We've never spent the night together and we've been together for almost a year now. I lay down with Bellamy and snuggle into his chest. "Goodnight beautiful, I love you sweetheart." I smile, "Night bell, I love you too." 

I close my eyes and drift into sleep. 

I wake up to Bellamy rubbing his fingers up and down my arm. I smile at him, "good morning baby girl." "good morning Bell." He kisses me softly. 

"Thank you for keeping O safe last night. She came in and told me about it this morning. I really appreciate it. I don't know what I would do if I didn't have her or you." Bellamy tells me. "She may not be blood related to me, but she's my little sister too." I say smiling at him, I kiss him softly on the lips. He gets on top of me and starts kissing me roughly, I pull away. "You need to get ready for your shift baby."

He groans, "Please Al, I can be a few minutes late" now, we both know that not true. "No Bellamy. You have to get ready, I'll go start making breakfast for everyone." 

I go out and make breakfast, we all eat. Bellamy gets up, puts his dishes in the sink, turns to me, pulls me into a hug and kisses my head. "I'll come see you on my break, okay baby?" I slightly pull away, "Okay," he then pulls me into him to kiss me softly, "I love you Alice." "I love you too Bellamy." He leaves after hugging his mother and sister. 

"I'll see you guys later." I say heading out. I got back to my shared apartment with my father. "Hey Alice, you didn't tell me you were staying the night, I was worried honey." "I'm sorry dad, I didn't mean too, I fell asleep after we ate dinner." "Its alright honey, just a heads up next time. I'm about to leave to go see Jaha and Abby. See you later honey, love you kiddo." "Okay, love you too dad."

I go take a shower, make some lunch for when Bellamy comes around. 

I hear a knock, I open the door and see Bellamy. He looks worried. "What's wrong Bell?" I ask him. "Alice, they know. Jaha heard you talking to your dad and saw the tapes of you in the storage room. They're coming to take you. I tried everything to stop them, so did your dad. Jaha won't listen to us, they're going to lock you up. I can't lose you baby, I did everything I could to protect you and I failed you, Alice I failed y-" I kissed him, softly and held it for a while. "Bellamy, listen to me, you did not fail me. As long as you keep O hidden, that's what matters, you hear me? Keep her safe, you know I will find my way back to you. Don't give you on me Bell, keep her safe, for me and you, please. I love you with all my heart Bellamy." 

"Alice, I love you. Im sorry baby, I love you so much. I'll keep her safe. I'll try everything to see you much as possible, I love you." We share a moment of silence. "We are not breaking up, you hear me Alice." "I would never leave you, please don't leave me Bell." I look at him with teary eyes, we share one last hug and kiss for now. 

"Alice Kane, please come out with your hands in the air." Bellamy looks at me with pleading eyes, telling me no. I kiss him, and let go. "Jaha you can't do this, please, she's all I have." 

"Lock her up, now." I hear Bellamy break down in my apartment. My dad loses it top. "May we meet again" I whisper under my breath. 

I will never see the light again, until they float me on my 18th birthday.
