ni-ki woke up at the bright sunshine hitting his face, he opened his eyes and wonders around the room. people was busy doing their thing while he just sigh and watch as the nurse take the blood in his veins. "where's mom?" he asked the nurse, the nurse titled her face to make good look at the kid, "oh your mom just went outside to buy lunch" she said, ni-ki stared at the clock

1:00 pm. i wish i can just visit and bring his lunch.

ham and egg. that's what ni-ki used to bring for sunoo. a tteokbeokki as side meal and some rice. ni-ki used to bring lunch for sunoo. now, sunoo just stared at the canteen's food. this is lame, i wish ni-ki just– no no– blah blah– whatever, maybe he's just being a child again. sunoo fought back his thought about ni-ki and ate for god sake, as ni-ki told him to do. sunoo kept saying 'wtf is this food?' and just keep his disgusted face. "you don't like mushroom soup?" a guy sat across him. sunoo rolled his eyes as he knew who the guy is. shin, ni-ki's cousin, smiled at him like crazy. sunoo stared at him. the infamous yet scary fox eyes hit shin, he suddenly acts like h got heart attack to annoy sunoo again.

tf? sunoo thought.

"aren't you gonna ask where ni-ki is?"

"i don't care shin. just leave me alone."

"i bet he's at the hospital"

sunoo went silent and froze. hospital? why?

"he's gonna come tomorrow okay, i know it."

"i guess. well for now, i gotta go, bye bye!"

he left. leaving sunoo helplessly falling for his trap again.

fuck mom– mom!" ni-ki shout from the bathroom when his heart started aching again. his mom heard and ran immediately where th noise came from. when she got there, they found out that ni-ki had his another severe attack. ni-ki's asthma has been getting worse everyday. ni-ki hold his chest tightly while his mom drag him carefully to his bed. his cousin, laid him down slowly in his bed. "nurse! come quick!" his mom shouted as she looked at her son, soaring for pain. the nurses and doctors came quickly and pulled the two out, leaving ni-ki only.

meanwhile sunoo came at a hospital to visit his friend who was injured last night.

[flashback]

[ wonwoo ]

wonwoo:

have you text jungwon yet?

sunoo:
?? no
why?

wonwoo:
his cousin texted me and told me
that he's at the hospital
rn

wHAT ?

sunoo went to where jungwon is. while walking his way there, he saw doctors running to a room, is that jungwon? he slowly step to the window and had a peek inside.

is that ni-ki's mom? why is she here? why is she crying?

while exploring his eyes, he landed on a boy, laying down, feeling lifeless but still breathing through the use of machines. sunoo felt like his soul left his body. it was ni-ki, whos having a seizure. sunoo was frozen, he can't move his feet nor his hands. while his tears was slowly falling out of his gorgeous eyes that ni-ki admired the most.

fuck... don't let go in me nishimura. don't fucking let go. he thought while looking through the window of the door.

he doesn't want ni-ki to go yet, they will still go to his tree house ni-ki built when he was a kid, right?

why would he let go now? is it sunoo's fault? no. is it because of fate? yes.

after minutes of not vitals showing, ni-ki finally breaths again. giving sunoo a smile of satisfaction. sunoo freaking collapse in the floor while crying so hard.

"damn you nishi. why are you doing this to me?" he mumbled

shin found him outside and sat him across the room of ni-ki after the incident.

"you're still crying?" shin tease.

"you shit."

"don't worry, ni-ki will not go anywhere, he promised me that."

"are you sure?"

"mhm." nodded and smiled.

sunoo smiled but he doubt it. he knew that ni-ki was planning something before anyone even know.

after weeks, sunoo didn't visit him. he know that ni-ki will be just taking care of him instead of himself. he knows it damn well.

but sunoo still waited and shin usually texted him or tell him what is happening with ni-ki. that is refreshing. sunoo thought of him maybe couple times? when he does, he always says 'no.'

"sunoo hyung!" someone abruptly shouted at the library making everyone looked including sunoo who makes the most scariest eye thing.

they did a peace sign saying they sorry and make they way onto sunoo's table.

"shin, this is a library. not your damn playground." sunoo whispered.

"sorry. i was just about to tell you something."

"what?"

"he left."

sunoo froze on the spot. he can't just leave me?

"please tell me you're joking"

"why would i joke about him?"

"cause you're a fucking jokester?"

"woah, calm your ass. he's gonna be back, don't worry."

"back? i hope not."

the moment sunoo said that, he realize that he miss ni-ki so much that his timer was late. and that was a bummer.

i know that this chapter was a fast one but i promise, we are at the exposition.
