Nearly 10 years had passed since Gwen had been taken to Malfoy Manor by Voldemort. In these 10 years, she had been spoiled — yet also mistreated — by Lucius and Narcissa Malfoy, but she didn't know why. Also, she didn't want to be spoiled, it just wasn't fair to her.

Gwen had long, untidy jet-black hair, bright green eyes and was quite tall for her age. She also had a strange lightning-bolt mark on her forehead, but she didn't understand why she had it. Once Gwen was transported to Malfoy Manor and could speak, she wanted to know why she had that mark.

"In a car crash when your uncle died. Don't ask more questions." Narcissa replied dryly. "Don't ask questions." That was the first step for a peaceful life with the Malfoys.

One day, Gwen had just gotten up and eaten breakfast when the post arrived. Lucius was reading The Daily Prophet, the wizarding newspaper, and was in a lazy mood, so he didn't want to get it.

"Gwen, can you get the post?" He asked. Gwen went outside to the letterbox. There was a postcard, bills, a letter for Draco, and.. a letter for her.

Gwen wondered who would be writing to her. She didn't have a lot of friends, since everyone thought she was weird. She didn't have any other relatives she knew of that were in contact with her or even liked her. Gwen didn't have a library subscription, so it certainly wasn't a rude note asking for books back. Yet.. it was for her. (A/N: I have no idea how libraries work in Britain, so if it's inaccurate please ignore.)

Lucius had finished reading his newspaper and he went to the letterbox. After looking at all the post, he said "Narcissa! Draco! Get down here!" Gwen was a bit confused. Why did Narcissa and Draco have to be downstairs?

"Narcissa.. you have a postcard from that friend of yours. Draco, Gwen.. you both have letters from Hogwarts." Lucius finally said.

"What's Hogwarts?" Draco enquired.
"Read the letter, Draco. You too, Gwen."
Gwen looked at the letter. It had a coat of arms with a lion, an eagle, a badger and a snake, and a big letter "H". On the back, it said:

"To Ms G. Potter,
The 2nd Bedroom,
Malfoy Manor,
Wiltshire,
England,
Great Britain"

After reading that, Gwen called out to Narcissa. "Mum? Why does it say "Ms G. Potter"? You said I'm a Malfoy." She asked Narcissa.
"There's something Lucius and I have been meaning to tell you, dear. You're—"

Suddenly, there was a strange sound, as though someone was at the door. "I can answer that." said an unknown voice.

A/N: 'Sup! So this is the 2nd chapter of The Adventures of Gwen Potter. I thought I'd end on a cliffhanger, to add more suspense (although it might be pretty obvious who was there).
