I surveyed the living room and it was empty, they are probably outside. I sighed and headed to the door, pulling it open their voices became audible.

They didn't notice my presence, Carson was nowhere in sight. It was just Jayson and Mason. “Hey, I'm ready” They all turned back to me.

“Hey” Mason shot me a smile. “Are you sure you are strong-”

“Yes, what are we doing today?” I asked and he smiled. “We got the bicycles out!” Cole called out. “Hope there wouldn't be a brawl this time” I said.

“Ask Chloe”

“Yeah, where is she?” I asked looking around. “It's for the better. Let's go” Jayson said, hopping on a bicycle and making a run for it, I laughed.

“Okay, you're on then. Race you to wherever that fucker is going” Mason said moving backwards with a grin.

Oh shit.

“Slackers are Loosers” I reminded and he got on one of the bicycle and rode off. The twins too, I just stared at them heading to the entrance.

I didn't want to admit or for even them to see it but...I can't ride a bicycle. I stared at the red bike that leaned on wall.

How can this shit balance in two wheels?

Why is this a thing?

How am I supposed to stay put on it, I never tried learning because...I don't know, I was just scared of falling off.

And trust me, my dad had tried many times to teach me but... now look at me I'm in dire need of the skill.

I looked back at the entrance, the guys were gone. Yeah, I'm definitely the slacker.

Maybe I got this, who knows maybe I could actually do this...it could be a hidden skill or some shit like that.

I sighed and threw my leg over at the other side, I staggered a bit before attempting to sit on the paddle.

I achieved a sitting position, my hands on the handle, I didn't even move an inch and everything stumbled down.

“Fuck!” I cursed, sitting up on the floor. “It's really sad to watch” someone said from behind and my head whipped to the side immediately.

It was Carson, he was leaning by one of the pillars. “Shut up!” I got up, pulling up the bicycle again.

I attempted to get on it again. “You're gonna hurt yourself” I heard him say.

“And since when did you care?” I lost balance and was almost on the floor again but something held it back...more like Carson.

One hand on the bicycle and the other holding me in place. He shot me daggers as eyes and I looked away.

“Legs here...”Je forced my legs on the pedal. “I can ride a-”

“Shut up” He placed my hand over the handle and I sat up right. “Eyes on the road” I faced forward and I slowly began moving. “Oh my gosh, I'm actually riding a bicycle” I said.

“I'm holding you in place” He deadpanned and killed my excitement. We rode round the pools and I squealed in excitement while he regretted his choice this morning.

We stopped and he let me go. I began moving all by myself. “Oh my gosh! Oh my gosh!” I yelled.

“I'm doing it!” And just like that I jinxed everything and I fell back to the floor. “Fuck!” I yelled, rolling over.

“Even training wheels can't save you” I heard Carson say. “Fuck you!”

“You can't ride a bicycle and you think you can?” He asked and my mouth hung open in shock. The way he said it with a straight face.

“Okay” I jumped back up. “I can do this without anyone” I hopped on the bicycle and let out a sigh.

I can do this!

I'm Charlotte. I slowly began moving, the tires tilting to different directions every now and then. But I didn't fall, I went round round the first pool.

I screamed in excitement not minding if people were still asleep. He was just leaning by the wall, staring at me.

“I can do anything!” I yelled increasing my speed. I headed to the entrance. “Bye Carson”

★★★

I watched him from the window as he headed in. He just arrived after leaving this morning and it makes me wonder, where is he always at?

Exercise this morning was was bad as the last, I know I didn't beat Mason at the race but now I can ride a bicycle.

Carson didn't bother coming, when we got back, he had left to wherever he just got back from.

He walked up the porch and the door was thrown open, he didn't notice me at the far end of the living room. He had left the doors of his cars open, he wasn't gonna be long.

He headed up the stairs, he was in a hurry. What's up with this dude?

He was being secretive but I knew he smokes and I'm sure there could be more, with his crazy friends.

I stared at the car and something pushed me to get up and head outside. I was nosy, that I knew but...

With this dude, there could be an advantage.

I walked to the trunk and threw it open. I had to this...to fulfill my stupid curiosity. I got into the trunk of the car and it slammed close immediately, causing me to yelp.

I heard muffled footsteps, shit! He was here.

The door was slammed close and we began moving. This was it, Charlotte. You may die today but...

I can't even give myself relief, I would be here for a while.

Minutes past and we were still going, I was in dire.need of air, I was just staring into a mist of darkness.

I felt blind, I needed to get out of here, my hair was sticking to my neck as sweat pricked out. The car jerked forward and I felt the car stop.

We were here, the door opened, I pushed open the trunk, wanting air.

Fuck! I stumbled to the ground, breathing in as much air as I could take, I clutched my chest. Now, I see why the curious cat died.

“What the fuck? Charlotte!” I looked up at those rageous blue eyes.

Bursted!
