The 'Big Game' tonight was against our rival school, Dominic's. They've always beat us at everything. But everyone assumes because the team was amazing we were going to win this time. Before Trev went in, we parked outside and I hugged him.
"You're gonna be amazing, Trev!" I gushed.
"I hope so. I just can't stand them beating us today." He smiled.
"They won't. This year they've got the best quarterback in the business. Can't lose." I laughed.
"Oh, I wouldn't say that." He shrugged.
"Well, everyone else would."
"See you on the other side, Green."
"See ya!"

I stood at the back of the crowd, as they cheered for the team. Trevor, being quarterback, was telling everyone else what to do while the other team were doing exactly the same.
I had no idea what was going on. My rules for supporting a guy you know on the team if you don't know what's happening: cheer when your school cheers. It has helped me through so much of high school.
When the crowd began to cheer I followed suit, never taking my eyes of Trevor. He was (according to the people around me) the best quarterback the school had ever seen. But I already knew that.
We were winning, when all of a sudden, someone came running onto the court, and blocked Brent from going any further. Out or surprise and nervousness, he made a bad pass to Jimmy and one of the Dominic's got it.
D*mn.
At half time, Dominic's were up 16-2.
SIXTEEN -TWO!
Trevor looked up at me, guilt in his eyes.
I pulled out my phone and sent him a text. 'TREVOR MORGAN! NO MORE DIRTY LOOKS. Now, I have plan. GET UR ASSES IN GEAR & MAKE SURE BRENT IS ON HIS BALL. IT'S HIS FAULT FOR MOST OF THE PONTS!'
When Trevor reached his phone, he sent back-
'Do you think I don't know that?! Brent has the co-ordination of a blind donkey! Now, how do u suppose we help that?'
I thought for a moment.
'Say to Brent that every time he makes a good pass, he gets a dollar. And the amount of good passes he makes gets him that amount of dollars. BUT.. If he gets a bad pass, the amount automatically goes back to zero.'
'That'll work?'
'What have you got to lose?'
