The man raised a brow, "whatever makes you say that?"

"You should know this. You should never mess with an alpha's pack."

"Why?"

"Because he won't think twice when it comes to protecting what's his."

The man only rolled his eyes in response.

"So dramatic. Such theatrics," he snorted.

"Don't say I didn't warn you, sir."

"I won't. Let me worry about the alpha and his pack. All you have to do is follow my orders. You get paid quarter the sum that I get paid. Your only job is to worry about getting the job done right and the money after the job is done. Nothing else. Am I clear?"

"Crystal," the other replied, boots clicking as he walked away.

A smirk across his lips, the man shoved a cigarette into his mouth and let out a puff of smoke.

"Oh kookie, you naive idiot."
