As the sun slowly seeps into the sky, I awake. I sleep terribly knowing I'm going to leave the last of my family. The birds mock and laugh at me for it. The frogs taunt me. They all laugh at me. I turn and see my sister snicker. Then I run. I run from the birds. I run from the pain of leaving family. But it's all in my head, isn't it.
I smell the scent of another wolf as I lay beside a tree. They are close, and coming closer. I'm on my paws right away facing the scent of the wolf. "Come out sheep wolf, unless your scared." I taunt. Then the wolf leaps onto me. The wolves eyes are closed onto me, searching my soul. I roll over and come face to face with the wolf. " Looking for a fight sheep wolf?" I say sarcastically. " Sure thing deer face." The wolf growls. We start pacing in a circle, slowly. The wolf is first to lunge at me. I dare not to move, though I do flinch. I start growling at the wolf, his eyes are filled with terror for me. I laugh to myself at that, for I'm not even the least bit scary. " I will have enough of this here nonsense!" I hear a wolf declare. " Speck, I'd like to think you would have known better than this." " Nova I didn't mean to, I was just protecting the tribe." My eyes click to him as soon as I hear tribe. " You guys are in a tribe?" I ask. They're gaze fixes onto me, noticing I'm still there. Nova dismisses Speck with a flick of her tail as she approaches me. " I am Nova, guardian of the Moonlight Tribe. We were once a tribe of many, many wolves until they all started disappearing one by one. We are the few wolves left in the tribe, only us and a few others survived. Like yourself. I will have you know that I will lead this tribe to victory, and they will survive. I won't loose anyone else." Nova says to be in a harsh whisper. She leads me back to their tribe grounds, says she has to keep me prisoner for the night for safety purposes. I know she just wants to show she's always in charge, but I still follow her back.
