Emma and Morgan sat there arguing for about 20 minutes. Morgans father, grandma, and the two boys Billy and Joel sat there smirking at the two.
"Now why don't you take this girl down to the diner and get her some real food now.", Morgans father said taking the keys from both of them in a some-what stern tone. Morgan's neck snapped back and groaned.
"Dad I've got plans-", his dad cut him off,
"Now I don't think this girl has got any place to go for the night and you should show her some real southern hospitality", he said in a very harsh tone. As Morgan and his father were staring each-other down, Janice came up in between them with my duffel bag and my rolling luggage. I quickly grabbed my duffle from her arm knowing how heavy it was.
"Sir I don't mind just getting a ride to the nearest motel and I'll just swing by in morning to pick up my car", I said throwing the bag over my arm.
"Deal.", Morgan said grabbing some keys off a key rack and stomping to an old red Ford f150. His dad scoffed and he grabbed the duffel bag from my arm and the luggage from Janice.
"I'm sorry about Morgan, he's a good kid he's just got his head in the clouds that one." , Morgan's dad said while walking slowly to the truck. He threw the bags in the bed of the truck and then opened the car door for Emma as well.
"Thank you Mr?", Emma said.
"Wallen. But please call me Tommy", He said smiling and tipping his baseball cap to her. She could feel Morgan's eye roll, even without looking. Emma thanked him again and he shut the door. Morgan quickly started to pull out of the lot.
~~~
We drove about 15 minutes down the road without saying a word. Morgan starts pulling into a parking lot finally. She looks out the window and read the sign 'Red Jug Pub'.
"I'm sorry but this isn't a motel", Emma said getting nervous and clutching onto her cell phone.
"What ya think I'm gonna kidnap ya or sum?", he said chuckling getting out of the car. Emma clearly flustered starts trying to figure out where she's at using her phone.
"WHERE THE FU-", Emma was cut off from her door opening. Morgan slowly reached over her and undid her seatbelt.
"You heard I had plans", he said smirking leaving his hand out. She looked down at his hand and chuckled. Emma brushed his hand away and jumped out of the truck. Morgan grabbed her purse and phone and shut the door of the truck. He put her phone in the purse and then placed it on her shoulder.
"Where the hell are we", Emma said standing in front of him. He chucked at her and pushed her aside. Emma scuffed and followed behind him. Morgan opened the door for her to walk in, and she walked into a hell of a lot.
"MORGAN!", the whole bar seemed to scream. He chuckled and walked up to the bar. Emma stood back looking at all the old beer labels across the wall, any dead animals you can think of, and a touch tunes.
"Who's this little thing you got following you like a lost puppy", the bartender said. Morgan laughed and looked back at Emma. She was clearly not in her element but he couldn't help being entertained. He grabbed her wrist and pulled her up closer to the bar. With his hand on her lower back
"This right here is Emma from upstate New York", he said. The bartender looked at Emma then back at Morgan and laughed.
"You brought some yankee into my bar?", the bartender said leaning over showing her tits off to him. Emma rolled her eyes and grabbed a stool from the bar and sat down.
"I'll take a coors light", she said aggressively placing a 20 dollar bill on the bar.
"And you can keep the change", Emma said smirking at the yellow-blonde haired bartender. Morgan chuckled and the bartender grabbed the 20 whiling rolling her eyes.
"Didn't know a little girl like you could have such a spark up her ass", he said chuckling. She nudged him with her elbow and laughed.
"I've had a rough day and the last thing I need is attitude from a bartender that doesn't know what toner is", she said grabbing a coster from the top of the bar. Morgan laughed and her and took a sip of his beer. Emma took the beer from his hand and started chugging.
"Alright now little lady save some for the fishes", he said lightly taking the beer from her mouth. She smiled with cheeks full of beer and swallowed.
"Like I said a hard day", Emma said while smiling at Morgan. The bartender came over and placed the beer on the coster I had and leaned right back over the bar.
"So handsome you ready to get on up there?", she said while Morgan's eyes trailed to her breasts. Emma's face got hot noticing he was looking at her like that. She didn't know why she was so jealous but she was.
"Ready as I'll ever be", he said winking at her. He slapped the bar and then ran to the back of the building leaving Emma there. She whipped her head around looking where he was going and then grabbed her beer. Before she could even get up the bartender slapped a menu down in her face,
"If you're gonna sit at my bar might as well spend some money", she said. Emma rolled her eyes and started looking at the menu. She hasn't eaten anything all day and it's almost 8 o'clock at night. Everything on the menu looked amazing, brisket, burgers and everything barbecue.
"I'll take the brisket sandwich with a side of fries and slaw please", Emma said sliding the menu back to the bartender. She grabbed the menu and wrote her order down on a piece of paper, then put it in the kitchen window.
"So what'er you doing here and what're you doin' with him", she said sipping a drink staring at Emma.
"Well my car got a flat about a mile and half up the main road here and I stopped at his grandmothers gas station to fill up my tire but her air pump didn't work, so she-", Emma was cut off.
"So she brought you 'round back to the shop then did she?", the bartender said crossing her arms and rolling her eyes. Emma uncomfortably moved around in the stool and nodded her head. The bartender then grabbed a bottle of whiskey and poured herself a shot. She shot the liquid down quick slamming the shot glass back on the bar.
"Well leave it to the Wallen's to make sure everyone feels at home."
