Common Enemy

Your warm cup
Previously filled with tea
Some minutes within
Left me with grief

Hold on to me
Don't go I still need you
All that's left is a memory
Painful and mean
Swelling in me

We all share a common dream
To see you up on your feet
Alive and kicking

My heart is bleeding
I am wailing
I am waiting

May be a miracle
Maybe this is a bad dream

Let me fall a sleep
Hoping you will be with me

I see your shadows
I hear your voice

Where are you?
Why can't you be found?
Why can't I feel your touch?

6 feet from me
Covered up in dirt
How is it?
Being away from me
Out of reach

I wish I could hear your voice
And you could see my chose

I want to make noise
I want to hate
I want to blame
But I can't

Your heartbeats
Stopped at once
Your eyes shut
I was left hurt
Where do I start?

You became cold
You froze
You needed to be stored

Is that what you chose?
Death and darkness

So as soon as you go
I'll try to be bold
I'll try to hold on
Till I get old

But you
You killed me
Popped my dreams
Crushed my spirits

Why did you sell your soul
Please get it back
Please get up
Stay away from the dark

I know I  can't bring you back
I can't feel your touch

But maybe
Just maybe
I'll cling to this hope

The common enemy shall die.
