Daisy was sitting stop the hood of her car, as it filled with gas, when a tune playing from another's radio caught her ear. She listened closely and realization hit her, it was her song. He had stolen her song, and claimed it as his own. She was in complete disbelief.
Daisy Jones: Stumble on Sublime, was number one for, what, four straight weeks? And that son of a bitch still claims he wrote the whole fucking song. And this was becoming a pattern.
"Well see, I took a benny to wake up this morning. So then if I just have the coffee I'll be way too amped. Hence the champagne. And I call it an "up and down", said Daisy to the man across form her at the diner.
Stephanie Woods: Yeah I think I heard of an "up and down" somewhere, maybe some show or movie, something like that. I can't really remember now.
"That's funny" chuckled the man, "I'm gonna use that in a script someday." he finished.
This annoyed the fiery girl, causing her to retaliate. "What makes you think that I'm not gonna use that in a something one day?"
The man taken aback, tried explaining himself "I meant that as a compliment, there's no need to be cross. You'd be like... like my muse or something."
This further angered the girl, only sparing him one more glance before she got up and left. He quickly chased after her, unaware of what he had done to make her so upset, "Daisy. Daisy!" he called out.
But his shouts were no avail, as she continued walking away. "Where are you going? Hey! Hey!" he called after her. "What did I say?"
She whipped around "What? You said I'm your fucking muse, Like, what, I'm just inspiration for your next great idea." She explained, angered by the man's incompetence.
"Yeah. What is wrong with that?" he asked, still oblivious to the point Daisy was trying to make.
"Look, I'm not interested in being anybody's muse, Gary. Okay? Not yours, not anybody's." she said
"I din't mean it like that." he said, trying to recover from the argument
"I'm no the muse, okay? I'm the somebody." she cut him off
He took in her words, staring at her, before laughing. As if the idea of Daisy doing anything successful, and being the somebody, was some type of joke. "Okay, okay. You're the somebody. Got it." he said, absentmindedly "You're the somebody." he concluded, still laughing.
Her response to his words, was to push him away, before storming into her car. Leaving the man speechless, and herself feeling worthless yet again.
Daisy Jones: No matter how confident you pretend to be, how much you think you can give, if enough people tell you you're shit... you believe 'em.

The day after Stephanie and Juniper's fight, there was still complete radio silence. It was the longest they had gone without talking, since they first became friends, and Stephanie had no idea to cope. After wallowing in self pity for the whole day, laying in her bed at her parents house, she finally got up. She felt the best way to feel batter was to get high, and drink the pain away. She did know however that she was not in the mood to be surrounded by large crowds of happy people. So she chose a bar she knew rarely had a large group of people, took a seat at the almost empty bar, and had a drink. And it was only maybe ten minuets later, that a gorgeous red headed girl found her way into the same bar, determined to test her luck at performing.
Stephanie Woods: At the time, I had absolutely no idea how important it was that I was there, at that exact moment, and ran into Daisy. Some might call it fate, some might just say it was coincidence. I'd say, I just got really fucking lucky.
Loretta Calaway: If it weren't for that night in the bar, Stephanie Woods, most likely would not be where she is today. She would have dropped the record deal with Teddy, and continued performing the same 10 songs in a run down bar. Daisy was like her saving grace.
Stephanie looked up from the drink in front of her, when she heard the first notes on the piano. Her eyes made a beeline for the red headed girl who had just taken her seat, and Stephanie watched in curiosity as the girl played the piano, and then started signing. The song was beautiful, and clearly had so much meaning. And looking towards that girl she applauded, Stephanie knew, she had to meet her.
Daisy Jones: I remember how good it felt to hear the applause, even if only form maybe 10 people. But I remember even more, the excitement I felt, when i recognized one of the people applauding. it clicked instantly that it was the girl I'd seen performing, maybe only a few months before. [Sighs] Stephanie, from the moment I met her, had been one of my biggest supporters.
As Daisy got up, from her spot beside the piano, Stephanie got up from her position at the bar. The two walk across the room meeting in the middle. Stephanie took initiative to start a conversation, "Hi, I'm Stephanie." she said, giving the brightest smile she could.
"Hey, Daisy Jones. It's nice to meet you. I had seen you performing a little while back actually, you have an incredible voice.", said the ginger excitedly.
"Oh God, that's sweet, but I mean I don't even compare to what you just did out there. You sound incredible." Said the blonde, and she meant it too. Daisy's voice was like sweet smooth honey on her ears.
The two quickly fell into conversation, as if they had know each other all their lives. It was clear they'd be keeping in touch, and clear they'd now be an important part of each other lives. They just didn't know at the time, how important the roles they would play for each other would be.
Stephanie Jones: I had no idea, what becoming friends with Daisy would lead to, but something about her just really drew me to her. At the time though, I never could've imagined just how much i'd grow to appreciate her. She really is an incredible person.
Daisy Jones: I am forever thankful for that night, for meeting Steph. I really don't think i would've succeeded or been apart of a real band if it weren't for her. I really do love the girl.

"That keyboardist really added something to the mix, didn't she?" Graham asked the other band members, as the laid about the van on their journey to LA.
"Who, Karen?" asked Camila from beside him.
"Yeah. Yeah, Karen." he responded turning to face the girl to his side.
"Yeah, she did." Added the girl, noticing the far-off look in the boy's eyes. Smiling to herself.
The boy laughed, before turning away, and the girl went back to her camera. All members of the band, enjoyed the ride, knowing they were on route to something big. And it took a while, but they eventually made it to LA, blown away and in awe of their new surroundings. Feeling excited and eager to start this new chapter of their lives.
