On October 4th, 1977 - Daisy Jones & The Six performed to a sold out crowd at Soldier Field in Chicago, Illinois
They were one of the biggest bands in the world at the time, fresh off their award-winning, multi-platinum album "Aurora"
It would be their final performance.
In the 20 years since, members of the band and their inner circle have refused to speak on record about what happened...
Until Now.
Billy Dunne (lead singer): So Stephanie also agreed to this? Everyone else too?
Daisy Jones (backup singer/songwriter): I don't even know where to begin.
Stephanie Woods (lead singer/background guitarist): So, what do you wanna know? I'm an open book.
Interviewer: When did you first fall in love with music?
Stephanie Woods, did not live an average life, but she didn't live a horrible one either. It was simply unconventional, and in some ways, could it have been better? Probably. But her lifestyle prepared her for the real world at a very early age. Some might say it was unsafe, and that her parents were reckless for giving her so much freedom, negligent even. And to a point they were, but Stephanie always loved them, because despite their faults they always loved her, and at that time, that was simply enough.
Stephanie Woods: Well to be honest i've always loved music, my parents were big on the hippie craze, so we had instruments laying all about the house. When I was six, I think, was when my mom taught me to play the guitar. It was an old acoustic one, but... God I loved that thing. [smiles reminiscently]
Loretta Calaway (Author of the novel: Stephanie Woods, Crashed and Burned): Stephanie Woods has always said she adores her parents, and that they were supportive and attentive. But neighbors and friends of the family have told a different story, one of neglect and drugs. She lived an unhealthy childhood, and can't even admit that what happened wasn't right. She was in denial, still is I suppose.
Stephanie Woods: I always have found it entertaining to see people try and get a little cash grab off of other people's lives. Who are some random reporters and neighbors to claim they knew anything about my life. It's pathetic, that's what I think.
Interview: Well, when did you get into live music, and form a passion for it?
Stephanie Woods: 6th grade, we were fresh into middle school. That "we", being my best friend Juniper and I, and we wanted to be big girls, so we snuck out one night and caught a cab down to the strip. I couldn't tell you what that cab driver was thinking when two little twelve year old girls got into his back seat, but whatever it was, easily got shut up when I gave him the money I had taken from my mom.
The taxi driver stared at the jumble of bills for a few seconds before turning his attention back to the girls.
"So, where you looking to go tonight ladies."
Both girls looked at each other, realizing they really didn't have a plan.
"Well, what's a good bar on the strip sir?" Juniper asked, hoping they'd get lucky.
The man though for a second, before replying,
"Well to be honest with you, i've never been that way myself. So i'm not all that familiar."
They should've taken this as defeat, and just gone back inside. However, Stephanie had always been a bit stubborn,
"Then just take us to the area, and we'll find our way around." So the driver did just that.
Juniper Roland (Stephanie's childhood best friend/Model): Yeah, probably not the best idea we had as little kids, but the girl was determined. And if Stephanie Woods wanted to do something, then by God she was gonna do it. Haha, wow haven't though about that night in a while. It really was that first step ya know, the second we stepped into that old run down bar her eyes lit up, like that was where she belonged, and I mean the rest was history apparently.

AN: okay so this is just chapter 1, the introductory chapter. Also if you haven't noticed already, there are gonna be some big changes, and it's gonna focus more around my character than Daisy, though she does still play a big role. Hopefully this was good and enjoyable to read!
