Daisy struggled for a while, getting herself stuck in unfortunate situations, with unfortunate guys. Selfish guys that stole her work, because they thought of her as some silly, dumb girl. "Stumbled on Sublime" - a song written by Daisy, was stolen and capitalized on, and she didn't even get credit.

Daisy Jones: And the worst part, is that I let him take that song from me. I mean, that is how little I thought of myself at the time. Thank God I met Simone when i did.

Interviewer: Daisy says you changed her life. Do you remember how you met?

Simone Jackson (disco producer): We were at some party in the hills, I think. And I had just finished performing at Gazzarri's, so she must have seen me there. She knew everything about me. In fact, she knew everything about everything.

"So he gets this idea that he can swim from one neighbor's pool to the next, which sounds totally crazy, but in the context of the film it makes..." explained the eager girl before being cut off.

"Sorry, what's your name again?" asked Simone.

"Daisy. I'm a huge fan of yours. I don't know what you're doing though, singing backup for Penny fucking Richardson."

"There you are. I was looking for you." came an approaching voice, both the woman turning to see who it was coming from. With the red head being caught in shock.

"Penny fucking Richardson." she breathed out,

"Excuse me?" asked the voice of the girl who had just joined.

"Daisy Jones, huge fan." replied the girl, who only got a handshake in return, before she turned to Simone,

"Let's get out of here. I'm tired." she demanded,

"Penny, we talked about this." she responded,

"No, you talked about this, you know what Simone? I'm fucking done." retaliated the now aggravated blonde.

Simone let out a frustrated sigh, "Ah would you excuse me? just a second." she asked before walking a bit away, accompanying Penny.

Daisy stood, watching from a distance as the two argued, until Penny stopped away, and Simone returned back to Daisy.

"It's not what you think." said the woman, as she reassumed her previous spot on the deck.

"All I think is that you're way too cool for that chick." said Daisy, causing Simone to laugh.

Simone Jackson: We started talking, and we just never stopped.

The two became quick friends, finding comfort in each other. With Simone revealing her hopes of releasing an album and putting gan end to her backup singing. They found common interest in music and it''s meaning. It was then, sitting in Simone's apartment she revealed that she did recognize Daisy.

"I've seen you too honey, Gazzarri's, The whiskey, All over the strip. Most of them girls are just there for drugs, sex, stories to tell their friends. But not you, you're there for the music. I've seen you" she said, a smile painting her lips, "Question is,' she continued, 'what are you doing in the crowd, and not on that stage where you wanna be?" she asked.
