The Heirs [A wings of fire story]

"THE EGGS ARE MY DOOM. OUR DOOM EVEN, ITS ALREADY BEEN A HASTLE TAKING CARE OF OUR SON, AND IF THEY HATCH TONIGHT, WE HAVE MORE TO WORRY ABOUT.. MORE HEIRS TO TAKE OVER.. MORE DRAGONS TO KILL US!"

"HawkFire Dear, please I-" Queen CopperHawk said in a fragile voice,
"NO GUILT TRIPPING.. You've doomed us all woman." King HawkFire snarled at the smaller Queen, Lashing out and slashing her forehead with his Talons.

:" I'm sorry Mother... I'm sorry I can't help save you from this monster I call my Father..":
The Distressed prince thought to himself as he silently wept, hiding in the corner under a pillar, trying not to be seen by the King. His own Father.
Queen CopperHawk got up quickly and skittered away, causing The threatening King to chase her out the throne room and down the halls.
The Prince crept forward Hastily as the sound of egg shells cracking filled the empty room,
"What a time to hatch, huh.."
He murmured while walking to them,
:"Dad's going to be mad..":
Prince wrapped his tail around the two eggs in the corner of the throne room,
"I'll protect you..."
One of the Eggs cracked open, and a small dragonet poked its head out, "Meep!" The Tiny Gold, brown and yellow dragon squeaked, looking up at the Skywing Prince curiously,
"Awah your far too cute to be my little brother!"
The Big Orange-Brown and gold Skywing Prince said with a sweet smile, Wiping the tears from his face with one of his Talons.
"You can call me Bass, I'm your older brother!"
Bass smiled in delight, forgetting about all his problems... forgetting about his father and mother's constant arguments and all the studies his father bombarded him with.
"Mom and dad are going to-"
The young man cut himself off when he realized his situation.
:"No, No, No... I'm NOT letting him kill them...Wha-":
Bass's thoughts where cut off by a tiny dragonet popping their head out from under the broken shell of the previous egg,
"Twins?"
Bass realized, Hoping They didn't just come out of the same egg and that he'd just missed the other egg's hatching!

Prince Bass checked under the eggs broken shells, confirming they came from the same egg.
:"oh god! How am I going to save you two...":

:"That's right... I'll Challenge Father.":
