♢ 3rd person POV ♢

You wake up, smelling bacon cooking in the kitchen. Blinking your eyes open slowly, you see Tighnari cooking at a small stove. You sniff the air and smile, stretching.

Tighnari's ears twitch, and he looks over at you happily. 

"Finally awake?" He asks, shifting the food on the stove.

You keep laying down and look at him, thinking.

What were you two? What was this? A strange friendship? A healer taking care of a patient? Total strangers?

You begin dozing off again, your thoughts shifting into bright, warm dreams. Then Tighnari shakes you awake.

"Hey!! No falling asleep, you need to be awake today. We're gathering flowers for an elderly woman in the village, and you're not to eat them, understand?" 

"Yeah, yeah..." You mumble, your face pressed into the pillow.

Then your eyes widen as you see how close Tighnari is to you. 

"I'm going to need a bit more than a 'yeah'."

You sigh.

"Yes, Tighnari, I won't eat any flowers."

"Good." He smiles, and goes back to the stove.

After a while, he finishes cooking and you share a delicious breakfast. You both decide to head out and find flowers for Umm, the old woman who requested them.

You set out, finding Paimon and Collei laughing and talking. Paimon sneaks a cheeky smirk at you and Tighnari, then continues talking to Collei.

You roll your eyes, and follow Tighnari into the forest.

He points out many beautiful flowers, but shows you his notebook and circles the ones requested. 

"Mint, Sweet flower, Padisara, and... Sumeru roses. These shouldn't be too hard to find." He takes your arm and leads you further into the forest, along a route that he remembers flowers growing on. You walk between the trees, and take in the scenery. You haven't been in Sumeru for long, so it's all very different from the other nations.

You see the sun shining through the high canopy, the multicolored birds swooping and singing, and little Hydro fungi running around and playing with some Winged Dendroshrooms. The warm sunlight heats your face, and the soft grass tickles your ankles. Sumeru is...beautiful.

"Ah! Here we are." Tighnari lets go of your arm and crouches down, cutting some mint. You do the same, and keep a few leaves on each stem. After a few moments, you have a bundle of the light teal flowers. Tighnari stands up, and beckons you to follow him. You don't hesitate, and take his hand, smiling and looking around.

Tighnari blushes a bit, but you're too distacted to notice.

"Next up is...Sweet flowers. We have some at my house, so we can skip those for now...Alright, Padisaras it is." He leads you a bit away from the trees, to the shore of a river. Padisaras grow along the edge, and he picks some to put in the bundle. You walk over to pick a few, but freeze as you hear a growl behind you.

Hilichurls.

You turn, seeing them run towards you with their clubs. You blink, remembering your last encounter with these monsters. 

Tighnari glances at you, concerned. 

You look over to him.

"I'll handle this." You smirk and grab your sword.

Running at them, you stab one through the stomach and hit another with it. You run at a shooter, and take it out with a few quick slashes. Jumping over to a Dendro samachurl, you knock it out with the hilt of your sword, then defeat it with a quick stab. There's one hilichurl left of this small group. A little Electro shooter, aiming at you. You duck before it releases the string, then run up and knock it off of the tree stump it was standing on. You stand back, panting and sweating.

You look around for any others, then sigh in relief and walk back to Tighnari, who's looking at you strangely. Out of nowhere, a wild boar charges at you and knocks you into the river, soaking you. 

At first you're shocked by the cold water, then you laugh and lay back, letting the water clean you off. Tighnari puts his things down and walks over to you, reaching his hand down to help you up. You grab it, but instead of getting up, you pull him down on top of you. 

The water is up to his waist, and his knees and feet are planted on the rocks at the riverbed on either side of you. You laugh and look up at him. He smiles after a bit of hesitation, and he splashes some water at you. 

"Imbecile." He says, smiling down at you, laying in the river.

"You're not much better, silly." You look up at him, smirking.

"Hah, alright. Let's get up, we've got some flowers to collect." He stands up, and lifts you up by your waist so that you don't pull him down again. He brings you over to the riverbed and gathers his stuff.

You smile as he takes your hand instinctively and pulls you after him, over to a clearing in the woods. In the small area, there is a field of Sumeru roses. You gather some pretty ones, then flop down in the field, letting the soft purple petals tickle your face. Tighnari smiles and lays down next to you, warmed by the noon sun. Above you, the birds fly high, and you can just make out the bright blue sky beyond the leaves of the tall trees. Sighing happily, you think about the events today, about Paimon, about flowers and birds and a field of purple flowers, and most of all about Tighnari. You slowly fade into sleep with warm, happy memories in your mind, and Tighnari's warmth next to you in the flowers.

Tighnari looks over at you, asleep. He was feeling tired himself. He tucks one of the many purple petaled flowers behind your ear. A little rest never hurts...Tighnari lays back and closes his eyes to the bright sun above you both.

"Sleep for now, my little Sumeru rose." He whispers softly before drifting off to sleep.

It's 12:30 pm right now so I'm gonna go sleep
