SIDE GAME SURVIVAL || ALICE IN BORDERLAND

Chapter 3 | Hunter

[ TWO MINUTES UNTIL THE GAME STARTS ]

The unknown announcer said which all the players started to find a hidden place and search for the safe zone. Both Haruma and Alice went to the uppermost level where they ended up meeting with Chishiya there.

"Yo!", he greeted while up-handed to them. Alice stares at the guy blankly while Kazuma just awkwardly greeted the guy back. She ignored him as she go closer to Chishiya and stopped in front of him. Both of them stare at each other with the guy smiling cunningly at her.

Alice then turn around to the veranda and watched everything from there, since the position of where they are right now is the front and uppermost building, it's really easy to watch the whole thing from that side, very nice place to observe the whole situation.

Well, the reason why she didn't go directly to the safe zone is that she doesn't remember which room is it. So, she doesn't have any choice but to observe every room from above.

"You're looking for something?", Chishiya suddenly asked after observing Alice who had been searching for the safe zone.

"The room?", Alice answered lazily.

"How would you even recognize which room just by watching from here?", he asked. Alice takes a small breath before facing the guy again who keeps his cunning smile on his face.

"A hunch?", she answered, also smirking at the guy before started to walk away, leaving Haruma who left behind without understanding anything that happened between Chishiya and Alice. "Let's go searching over that side, Haruma.", she said as she walked away with Haruma following her at behind, leaving Chishiya who staring at them seriously before letting out a scoff.

All players keep on going, waiting for the game to start. Now both Haruma and Alice are on level 6 of the building, just 1 level below from where she meets Chishiya.

"Hey, Alice-san. Do you perhaps...know that guy?", Haruma asked while checking each door.

"Nope.", lies Alice, following the guy at behind while observing all the doors at level 2 from above.

"I see...I thought you two know each other.", said Haruma and Alice just keeps silent, nothing to answer since it was not like she don't know Chishiya, it was just she not that completely knows him. All she knows about the guy is based on what she watched on the TV show.

Then, as Alice walked passed the doors, she heard something from behind which stopped her on the track for moments before she turns around and walked towards this one strange door. As she closer to the door, she realizes that the door is unlocked and open which comes weirdly to her. She swear that Haruma already checked that door which is unlocked and she was also pretty sure that when she walked passed that door, it was still closed.
