Chapter 2: Jimin's POV
Jimin was used to being lonely.
His parents never really gave much of a shit. Growing up he had a nanny that he considered more of a parent than either of them. They gave him money whenever he needed. Occasionally he'd see them on holidays.
But that was it, and he never really cared.
Early on in his life, Jimin was more machine than a human. He kept to himself, not really making any friends, focused on academics so he could become successful and make his own way.
People at he was too proud, too pretentious, too rich. He liked that it kept the people away. Because attachments meant meant that they could one day leave him.
Up until he was 18, relationships of any kind weren't really apart of the bargain. No one but he, himself, and the occasional person in his bed received any of his attention.
That was until he met Jeongguk.
They were in the same class at their University. Jimin walked in expecting to sit in the back. A boy with dark hair, and two diamond stud earrings sat in his place.
Jimin asked the boy to move. He refused. They decided they would arm wrestle and whoever won could have the seat. Jimin never lost, so he agreed. He regretted it when the back of his hand slammed down on the hard desk. To say the least, he was impressed.
After that, him and the younger male did almost everything together. Jeon Jeongguk showed Jimin that companionship was something everyone needed. He was the only person who stood up to Jimin, forced him to actual connect with the world and live a little.
Little by little, he began to trust that he would stick around. Jeongguk was the brother he never had. And he truly loved him.
Eventually Jimin was introduced to Jeongguk's friends from highschool. The eldest was Kim Seokjin, who he got close separately because he started to work at his apartment complex as a side gig. He was especially good at gossiping and being protective of his younger friends. The older male never failed to make him laugh.
