START CHAPTER 1:
Narrator's POV: As the sun slowly rises over the horizon near the village of Spiral Hill, a certain white lemur girl starts to wake up as her alarm clock goes off. The female lemur quickly gets out of bed, turns off her alarm, and walks to her window. The white lemur then opens the curtains to reveal the stunning, beautiful day that was awaiting her.
Tangle's POV: "Ah! What a nice day today! This will be a great day for me to go out on a run! But first, I really gotta take a shower, jeez I smell bad." *I say to myself as I look out the window and take a whiff of myself.*
Narrator's POV: Tangle then heads to the bathroom of the second floor of the home that she was living in which belonged to a childhood friend and mentor of Tangle's, Jewel the Beetle. After a short shower, she brushes her teeth and combs her short hair as she dries herself with a towel, a bright yellow towel, which was her favorite towel and her favorite color too. Once Tangle came out of the bathroom, she decided to head downstairs to have breakfast, in a very typical Tangle-like way.
Tangle's POV: "Alright! Now that I have finished freshening myself up, it is time to get some breakfast! I could go down the stairs, but where is the fun in that? I will just jump down to the first floor because it will be much faster and much cooler!" *I say to myself as I look towards the railing that normally protects a person from falling off the second floor and onto the first floor.*
Narrator's POV: Tangle proceeds to jump over the guard rail on the second floor and lands with perfect grace on the first floor, as she has done many times. Tangle's stunt, however, attracts the attention of Jewel, who is not at all amused by Tangle's antics.
