I meet up with my friends at lunch, on my way back from science. Ethan hands me a cheeseburger and pulls out a small cup of fries from a brown paper bag. I kiss his head, sitting right next to him.

"Okay listen up nerds," Mindy starts, I grin at her humor, "as terrifying as this all is I'm glad I get to redeem myself for not guessing the killers last time." She states.

I roll my eyes, taking a bite out of my cheeseburger, "Seems someone is out there to make a reqeal."

I furrow my eyebrows, "What's a reqeal?" Anika asks.

Mindy turns to be girlfriend, "Oh sweetie, you're beautiful. Let's leave questions for the end yeah?"

I giggle, Mindy and Anika have been dating for two months now. I mean they are super cute. Anika is like a little drop of sunshine and Mindy is like... a nerd. Perfect match!

"The first scream movie was based in Woodsboro." Sam informs.

I pause, "And the second was at collage." I add

"So we think the killer is trying to remake the movies?" Tara asks.

"I mean seems like it," Mindy shrugs, "Rule one; Get original characters to a new location; check. Get a new suspicious character to make up the body count check check check!" Mindy nods, I sigh.

"With all do respect Mindy," Tanner starts, "I've got a date and this has been fun but I know the rules."

"Not to this movie you don't. Which brings me too rule two; no legacy characters are safe, they bring them on the show just to be murdered. Poor Gale and Kirby." She gives them a sympathetic sigh.

"Wait am I in the friend group?" Ethan asks, I nod, "Am I like one of the targets?"

"Mhm." Tara hums.

He stops, "Am I gonna die a virgin?"

I clam a hand over his mouth to make him stop talking. Tanner let's out a chuckle, and I know he's laughing at Ethan. Asshole.

"That was a weird overshare." Mindy nods.

Tanner picks up his bags, "Gotta date."

"But we haven't-" Mindy stops, "Finished the rules yet." She sighs, "Anyway main suspects, Ethan! They shy dorky guy that nobody expects because he's so shy an dorky."

Ethan furrows his eyebrows, "What?"

"Don't take offense she thought I was the killer two nights ago." I pat his shoulder.

Mindy grins, "And I still do! I mean I think everyone is the killer at this point, but Addie is like a glowing lightbulb!"

"And why's that babe?" I tease her.

She scoffs, "Last movie trauma, for fuck sake Tanner dumped you that's a big motive!" Mindy clams a hand over her mouth.

I look down, then back up at her, "Addie I'm-"

"Go fuck yourself." I say, grabbing my bag and leaving the group.

Tears weld in my eyes as I head for my dorm. I feel a hand grab mine, and they pull me back. I turn around to see Ethan. I wipe my tears, facing him with a blank stare.

"Yes?" I ask.

"I thought you said, you dumped Tanner." Ethan brings up.

I bite my lip, "I lied, I lied because the reason he broke up with me makes me scared that's what all guys want in a relationship. And then I met you and you've been so patient so I thought it didn't matter-"

"Addie!" Ethan stops me, "It's okay."

I sniffle, and he pulls me in for a hug. He rests his chin on my head. I grip is shirt with my hands, sobbing into his shoulder.

"Maybe I should skip Econ tonight." He states.

I shake my head, "Ethan you can't keep skipping your classes because of me."

"Okay first off the first time I skipped Econ was because Chad peer pressured me, plus I have three absent days, and this will only be my second one." He explains, "You're not getting rid of me that easily." He says, a smile forming on his face.

I smile softly, and he takes my hand in his. Then he drags me all the way back to our house. When we get inside it's weirdly quiet. I furrow my eyebrows turning on the light, I don't see anyone but I get a weird vibe.

"You wanna watch a movie?" Ethan asks, I shake my head, "Okay...So what should we do?"

"I kinda just wanna take a nap." I tell him.

He smiles, "Okay, let's go take a nap."

I wake up later, smelling the scent of freshly popped pop corn. I look over my shoulder, and see Ethan is still asleep. I carefully remove his arm and place it on the bed. I tuck him in, giving him a kiss on the head. I grab a shirt and pants, taking a brush through my hair. I look down and smile, then I head downstairs seeing Anika and Mindy on the couch. Mindy has a stare of guilt in her eyes. I press my lips together, walking into the kitchen.

"Hey." Mindy's voice startles me, "Can we talk?"

I furrow my eyebrows, but nod, "I'm so sorry. For what I said about you and Tanner." She sighs, "It was fucked up."

I smile softly, "I guess I should've told you I told Ethan I broke up with him." I sigh, jumping up and sitting on the counter.

"Why?"

I sigh, "Tanner broke up with me because we had been dating for five months and I didn't want to have sex with him. After we broke up some girl came up to me and told me he was cheating on me, for three weeks before he asked me to sleep with him." I tell her, biting my lip and looking down, "Truth is, I never looked at Tanner the same again."

Mindy places a hand on my shoulder and rubs her thumb slightly, "Fuck Tanner, honestly, any girl who wants to sleep with him has no brain cells." Mindy giggles.

I giggle with her, "Thank you for the apology." I nod, "And I'm sorry I told you to go fuck yourself."

Mindy shrugs "I would've said the same thing." She laughs, "But now you're off my suspect list, Tanner is number one."

"Why's that?"

She sighs, "Don't tell him I told you this but he still like, loves you I guess." She shrugs, "Which gives him the motive of, if I can't have you know one can." Mindy winks.

"Weird my dad said he's number one to."

"How is your dad?" She smiles.

I sigh, "He's fine I think," I shrug, "I still think he's in hell." I laugh, hopping down from the counter.

"Hey," Mindy starts, "you know I love you right?" She asks.

"Of course I do." I pull her in to a hug, when I hear someone clear their throat.

Mindy giggles, "Looks like Mr. Virgin is awake."

I roll my eyes, turning around to see Ethan rubbing his eyes. Ethan flips her off and I just laugh.

"Come on we are watching a scary movie." Mindy smiles.

I sigh, "I think I'm going to get dinner started." I tell her.

She shrugs, "Okay, Ethan you wanna watch?"

He shakes his head, "I think I'm gonna help Addie."

She looks at me and her eyes widen, "Holy shit! Mr. Virgin isn't a virgin anymore is he!"

"Mindy!" I yell, swatting her arm.

She starts to laugh, "Oh my god! Oh my god." She jumps up and down, and I just laugh.

"Get your punk ass out of here." I say pushing her out of the kitchen.
