I used my crutches to walk into the bathroom, wincing at every stop. Once I made it in I closed the door, taking a look at myself in the mirror. I ran my fingers across the stitches in my face, wincing when I accidentally touch the wound.

"Hey sweetie." My dad appears behind me in the reflection.

I roll my eyes, "Daddy dearest." I sigh, "Come to visit me I see."

"Well my daughter did almost die by a person who stole Billy and I's idea from twenty years ago so." He nods, "Speaking of killers, I don't trust that boyfriend of yours."

"Jasper?"

"Yeah, he seems kind of off. I mean, if you want my opinion I think he's the killer."

"Jasper wouldn't hurt a fly." I protest.

"What about the timid little one that's sitting out there in a chair."

"Tanner?" I ask.

"Is that his name? He looks more like a Max." My dad shrugs, "Anyway, I'm just saying I wouldn't trust Jasper."

"Respectfully dad your the one who ended up being the killer and everyone trusted you." I shrug, "Food for fucking thought." I growl.

"Sheesh!" My dad says.

"Addie is everything okay in there?" Tanners voice startles me and when I look back in the mirror my dad is gone.

I sigh, opening the door and smiling at the boy.

"Yeah." I nod, taking a seat on the toilet, "Just, you know, talking to my dead dad in the mirror." I shrug, "No biggie."

"The fact you can say that so nonchalantly is crazy." Tanner laughs, and I giggle a bit.

He takes a seat on the floor next to the toilet seat, "does your face hurt?" He asks.

"My whole body hurts." I sigh, "Ghostface did a number on me."

He chuckles, "You'll be okay, you're the toughest person I know."

"Thanks Tanner." I blush a bit.

"Hey remember in fourth grade when we met?" He chuckles, "I was wearing a dinosaur button up with a blue bow tie on our first day of school."

"And some kid ripped it off and threatened to cut it into pieces." I giggle.

"Then all of a sudden a little girl yells, 'Leave him alone assface!'. Then I see you charging at him with a tree branch." Tanner starts to laugh even more, "With your little pigtails and polka dot pink dress."

I laugh, "I was quite the soul back in the day."

"I think that's when I knew I wasn't alone anymore. Because you guys didn't treat me like some freak. You treated me like a real person." His jaw clenches, "I never thanked you for that."

"Tanner, it's okay." I place my hand on his shoulder, "Truth is we never thanked you for making our friend group the best friend group there was." I shrug, "I guess we both got lucky."

He nods, placing his hand on top of mine, "Addie there's something you need to know. About Jasper." He gulps, "He-"

There's a crash from out in the hallway.
