CHAPTER ONE
GATHERING INFORMATION
The sound of heels clacked against the floor, indicating that Cherry had entered the room. Kaveh, like most people in the room, lifted his head to see where the source of the sound was coming from. His eyes widened slightly at the attractive woman. The attractive woman that was coming his way.
He straightened up as she approached his desk. "Excuse me." Her voice was smooth as silk, enough to send chills down Kaveh's spine. "Yes, do you need something?" He managed to get out without stumbling over his words. "I was wondering if you could tell me where Alhaitham is."
The spark in his heart died the second he heard his roommate's name. "He's in his office," he replied quietly. "Oh, may you show me where that is?" She asked, her voice blessing his ears once more. As much as he didn't want to, he did want to learn more about this alluring woman.
"Of course," he answered, standing up and beginning to guide her in the direction of Alhaitham's office. "Are you new here?" He asked, trying to get to know her move. "No, I'm not. I believe we've never crossed paths, so I don't blame you for assuming," she explained, smiling a little.
"Oh, my apologies," he said, looking down and holding the nape of his neck, hiding his embarrassed expression. "You can call me Cherry," she informed ominously. He glanced at her, still holding her sweet smile. "I'm Kaveh."
"It's nice to meet you, Kaveh. I'm sure we'll see each other again, so I hope you remember me," she told him, standing in front of the door of presumably Alhaitham's office. "I think it'd be impossible to forget you, Cherry," he chuckled. She knew it'd be impossible to forget her. Cherry's an enigma and she knows it.
Kaveh left in a rush, not wanting to associate himself with Alhaitham. Cherry watched as he left curiously, wondering what exactly was going on between him and Alhaitham. She paid no mind to her curiosity and knocked twice on the door.
"Come in," was heard from an annoyed voice in the room. Cherry opened the door, seeing Alhaitham glance at her, almost judgingly. Cherry was shocked, she's never gotten that look before from a man she just met. She paid no mind and continued to attempt to gain the information the Tsaritsa wanted.
"Have we met before?" He asked, trying to pinpoint who this woman was. "We haven't. You can call me Cherry," she explained, taking a seat in front of his desk. Alhaitham raised a brow, catching onto sensing it was a nickname rather than her actual name, which Kaveh didn't catch onto.
"I was wondering if you had any information on Knowledge Capsules." She started off with information the students of the Akademiya knew before going into territory only select people knew.
"Why do you ask?" He asked, eyeing her suspiciously. "I'm simply curious, that's all. It's not like I'm going out to get one," she replied, tilting her head, as if to question why he would assume something like that. "Then, why do you want to know? Why go out of your way to obtain information on them?"
