I stayed talking to Hannah and Lilah for awhile and I went to go get breakfast from the kitchen.

"Morning mom," I said taking a seat at the table. "What are you making?" I asked and tapped to a song I was listening to.

"Morning honey, I'm just making pancakes for now. Your dad went to go get paint and wood to restore the house. Turn that music off, it's giving me a headache." She says and puts a plate of pancakes and bacon on the table on front of me.

"Where's Lynn and Kat?" I asked with my mouth full.

"Skylar, don't talk with your mouth full! They went to the store." She scolded me.

I nodded my head and kept eating. I see Lilah come around the corner and wave at me. I wave back, then looking at my mom to see if she saw me. She didn't. Lilah comes and sits next to me then smiles. Her eyes were black. I just need to understand everything if I'm going to live here.

"Can my mom see you?" I whispered. She shakes her head and takes a piece of my bacon. She smiles lightly then takes a bite.

Once I was done eating, I went upstairs with Lilah and went into a guest room. I saw a boy about my age looks through a drawer from something.

"Tyler!" Lilah says and jumps on his back. He laughs then holds her.

"What were you doing?" She says looking over his shoulder.

"Just looking for my other lip ring." He laughs and keeps going through the drawer. He turns around to see who was all here. I look to the side and see a full length mirror. Hannah was standing there, waving at Tyler. I stay looking at the mirror then looking at Tyler. He gives me a thin smile. He's cute, but I saw something. His eyes were black.

"I see we've got new people." He says and puts Lilah down.
