I spent time with Taehyun after the bitter breakthrough we experienced together. Later, I calmed down and decided to go to my mother's house. Inside my head, I repeated myself to confront her as soon as I crossed paths with her; however, another part of me asked for mercy; overlook the situation until I returned to my senses. Therefore, I changed the route to go to my house instead.
I'm inside the living area, already holding my phone while thinking about the idea that came to me after riding home: do an investigation around Hyunsoo. It may be immoral of me; however, I must understand why Hyunsoo does everything my mother orders him.
"Lance, do you reckon why this guy is behind me?" I asked while walking around the living area.
"I can hardly understand why Sir. But if you allow me, I can ask interns and get some information for you," Lance, my father's most trusted bodyguard, said.
"Alright. You have my permission; start investigating Hyunsoo, and make sure my father doesn't know. I don't want to trouble him further," I ordered Lance before releasing a long sigh.
"Roger that! I will be cautious with my work," Lance answered.
"Thanks. Call me when you have something for me," I politely asked.
"Of course, Sir," Lance replied before I hung up.
Frustrated, I placed the phone on the coffee table and sat on the couch. I put my elbows on my knees and leaned forward to hold my head between my hands. I tried to breathe slowly, attempting to control my emotions. But not knowing my mother's plans made me anxious; beyond all, Soobin got involved in this situation, too.
CHOI SOOBIN
I worked on college stuff but also talked like usual with Beomgyu. But the good times didn't last long. For the first time in a while, I became upset with Beomgyu; I was so upset I had to leave him. Our different perspectives caused us to clash and quarrel; unfortunately, it was about Yeonjun. Again. I thought Beomgyu understood my relationship with him already. But I was mistaken; he still worries about me. Worse than that. He seems like my mom; he acts as she would. – While walking through the streets, I reminisce about how he talked of Yeonjun, my feelings, and even Minsu. According to Beomgyu, my relationship with Yeonjun grounds on grief and fear: my grief and fears. Yet, I assured him I wanted to be with my current partner because I enjoy his company and feel safe beside him.
"I appreciate Yeonjun's presence; he helped so much. And even though we started wrong, we moved forward without bad blood," I thought while frowning, still upset as I reminisced about Beomgyu's words.
