I arrived at college beside Soobin; we spent all weekend together as he wanted; hence, we had to come together. Surprisingly, when our friends saw us, they were happy about our closeness. Even Beomgyu looked pleased with how we acted around each other. I felt glad to see my friends' acceptance; after all, this week, I'll stay closer to Soobin—more than ever. And I wouldn't want my friends to complain about it.
After saying goodbye to Soobin and my friends, I went to my respective classroom beside Taehyun. Yet, while we continued to walk through the hallway, many students—if not all of them—watched me from afar. They were like gossiping about something. I didn't want to acknowledge them; however, it felt odd since I don't remember doing anything in the past few days.
Eventually, I entered the classroom with Taehyun, and we immediately looked at the whiteboard as we went to our places. Someone wrote on it, and in big letters, they spelled 'Choi Yeonjun had to pick sides due to money.' The blank spaces got filled, too; they had other phrases like: 'Choi Yeonjun's mom can't keep her household under control,' 'rich people always get what they deserve,' and 'Choi Yeonjun's dad continues to manipulate people inside and outside his household; he's a coward.' – Slowly, while reading all of the false accusations, I felt how my blood started to boil, and my patience ran out with every word I saw.
I turned around, faced my classmates, and spoke without a second thought—. Who did this? Who dared to do this?!
—Now, you aren't so brave, are you? – Taehyun mocked the person responsible for the writing on the whiteboard, causing everyone to look at each other in shock.
—Mind your business! Cowards! – I madly said before the teacher entered the room.
I huffed and marched to my desk beside Taehyun. We sat before watching the teacher's reaction to the whiteboard; it was instant when he asked some students to erase everything.
—Yeonjun, isn't this about the information you gave Kai's dad? – Taehyun asked, lowering his voice; so no one else listened.
—Indeed, it is. But I never expected anyone from school to care; I only exposed the situation within my family because I was tired of my mom's actions – I admitted before shaking my head, soon realizing how I messed everything up.
—Perhaps you didn't consider how much some students became involved in your private life – Taehyun sighed before patting my back—. Try to stay calm; we'll find who wrote those things.
I nodded at Taehyun's words while still closing my hand tightly, feeling the urge to confront the person responsible for this situation.
