I realized how my words affected Soobin; his sanity slowly faded, and his concerns shifted his expression. I saw his panic building up; hence, I held the side of his neck and caressed his skin with my thumb, trying to comfort him without suffocating him.
—Soobin, it's okay! Nothing will happen to us; it's only my mom.
—Are you sure? – Soobin asked, concerned.
—Yes! Have I ever lied to you?
Soobin shook his head before looking down—. I'm sorry for ruining our cover; I wasn't thinking straight.
—No, don't apologize. I'm the one that should be sorry for getting you involved in a quarrel – I sincerely said before kissing Soobin's head.
—Eh, I don't mean to interrupt, but it is almost time to leave; we should get going – Taehyun said while looking at us.
I nodded—. Tae, we must keep this situation between us. If Beomgyu or Kai gets involved, the conflicts may become more problematic.
—Agreed! It'll be better if we don't speak about this incident – Taehyun said before looking at Soobin—. Are you okay?
—Yes, Junyong didn't even touch me.

Taehyun laughed before motioning us to get up and go. Immediately, Soobin threw away the used cotton and covered my opened wounds with gauze and bandages.
—They'll ask about your lip, though – Soobin told me as we headed out of the infirmary.
—I'll come up with something; don't worry – I smiled at Soobin before we reached Taehyun and walked beside him.

I said goodbye to Taehyun right after leaving the infirmary; I took Yeonjun to avoid our superiors. After all, if they discover the aftermath of the quarrel with Junyong, Yeonjun would be in more trouble than he already is. – We walked toward the front gate to reach the parking lots while standing close to each other. However, when we moved forward, someone's presence stopped us.
—What is he doing here? – Yeonjun asked while looking at Hyunsoo; he was resting his back against the gate with an earnest expression.
—I don't know – I answered Yeonjun before we resumed our walk, soon reaching Hyunsoo's position.
