I'm going to go ahead and publish this chapter and another one because I'm tired of it just sitting here and I want you guys to know what happens after the last chapter. I don't have time to write what happens in between this and the last chapter so I am so sorry 🥲.

Two days after Bridgehead City's fall and evacuation, it was finally safe to step on the ash covered ground.

Where once great towers and factories once stood, there were now only piles of hard metal and dust in the wind.

The walls were completely obliterated and destroyed, from both the wrath of the RDA's warheads, and Y/n.

All boats and ships in the marina, the industrial harbor, and in the marine kill zone had either been abandoned or sunk to the bottom of the sea.

The admin zone suffered the most destruction, with blood and soot the only thing that remained of the labs and control facilities.

The kill zones were quiet, and even now, nothing dared to venture on the vast dead landscape with a hellish background.

On the tallest factory that still remained, however, there was a stake that was melted into the metal building by Y/n. On top of that stake... was the burned and mutilated head of General Frances Ardmore with the device she liked using so much, shoved into her mouth.

As the remaining members of the Recom team, along with Dr. Humner and a few other scientists, landed at the gates of the base, they were greeted by a familiar face.

You stood on shaking legs with giant parts of your suit missing. The material on your arms and legs had been almost completely ripped off and most of your abdomen was showing. Bullet holes covered what was left of the black attire with blood staining any exposed skin.

Your eyes were bloodshot and you made a wheezing sound anytime you inhaled to breathe.

As soon as Miles seen your horrible state, he jumped off Cupcake and ran over to you in a mad dash as you started to collapse.

As soon as you hit the ground he was by your side, picking you up, and carrying you back to his Ikran and the others.

When you woke up, your whole body hurt.

Your arms felt heavy, your legs and feet felt like a thousand needles were being poked into your skin, and your stomach felt like someone was punching you repeatedly.

As you looked around the room you noticed all the vials, lab equipment, pods, crates, and shelves full of plants from Earth.

You then looked beside you and seen the water canteen, and as soon as you realized what it was, you dove off the bed to grab ahold of it.

After fumbling with the lid with shaking hands you finally got it off and tipped the canteen back as water flowed into your mouth and all over your face.

Once the water was gone you wiped your face and took a breath as you tried to stand to your feet.

Once you were on the move, you walked over to the door to the giant container and slowly opened the door.

Standing in a group, consisting of Recoms and other Na'vi, Miles was standing at the middle of them all with his back to you.

When the others noticed you they all stopped and looked at you with expressions of bewilderment and amazement.

Many of them were natives, and a few in particular stuck out like sore thumbs.

Jake and his family along with other members of the Omantikaya people had found the Recoms as they sought refuge high in the Hallelujah Mountains.
