Chapter 2:the mystery in class 1

Helen woke up from her slumber. She opened her eyes, blinking a couple of times to adjust to the light coming in through the window. She blinked again, looking up. She gasped quietly. Sitting next to her, was Ace, sleeping peacefully. She smiled fondly and gently touched his cheek, waking him up.
The raven haired boy opened his bright orange eyes slowly. He turned to Helen and rubbed his bleary eyes. "what happened?".
"Nothing", Helen smiled innocently.
"what?"
"nothing. Why?"
He shook his head. "No reason"
"Oh come on! Please tell me", she teased him. "I wanna know", she added.
Ace rolled his eyes. "okay..", he mumbled reluctantly "you're gonna laugh at me", he grumbled.
"What makes you say that?"
"Well", Ace paused. "first thing I did was to ask if anyone else could hear the voices too, and nobody could".
Helen tilted her head slightly to one side. "What kind of voice? And how was it?"
"well, I heard a guy yelling 'Help!'".
"Did it sound close to you?" Helen asked, her face full of curiosity.
Ace thought for a moment. "not quite. But then someone told me that he was right beside me", he replied.
"Oh, okay. Did they speak normally, or something weird or unusual"?
"yeah....I'm pretty sure. That's why I asked you to help me listen to the voices. I thought that maybe if you could hear them too, they wouldn't hurt you so much, you know? You wouldn't have had to deal with me".
Helen laughed lightly, she didn't want to offend the raven haired boy. "Ace, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to tease or anything. But yes, I could actually hear them too. They sounded pretty close".
"so what did they sound like?" Ace asked curiously.
Helen pondered a bit. "I can' really describe it. It was kinda...screamy, like angry screaming but...in a scary way, you know"
"that doesn't sound nice", Ace commented "did you hear something?"
Helen hesitated for a moment before answering "Yeah, but, I couldn't really understand it"
Annabelle came and immediately opened the door, "ohhhh you guys won't believe it, a student fainted and was found in the school hallway" she exclaimed enthusiastically. "I mean, you wouldn't be able to even believe it"
"What do you mean?", Helen asked, confused.
"She just passed out right in the middle of the hallway. Her body fell against the wall and no matter how hard she tried to push herself up, she just couldn' manage it" Annabelle explained.
"So... what do you think she had to pass out from?" Ace wondered.
"I can't really explain, but I'm not sure if it's normal to faint when you just passed out" Annabelle admitted. "Maybe some sort of shock? Or something? Maybe it wasn't an accident?"
"Why don't you just wait for her to wake up and ask her yourself", Helen suggested.
"Yeah. Yeah, you're right", Annabelle agreed. "You know what?! I'll do that right away! Thank you so much Helen and Ace!"
"Don't mention it", Ace said simply. "Good luck"
"Thanks again!", Annabelle said, rushing outside.
"That girl is a strange one", Ace muttered in awe, still staring at the door with a curious look on his face.
"Yes, she seems interesting, though. But still, it' s strange. I wonder if we should tell the other teacher  about this?"
Ace frowned "no. She shouldn't even know that there is a problem here. I'm pretty sure that this could cause trouble for her"
"Yeah, but what could possibly happen to her? It's just passing out, right?"
Ace shrugged.
meanwhile with Annabelle
Annabelle walked to the School health with a determined smile on her face. When she got to the room of the unconscious girl Annabelle stopped in front of her and then she started asking questions.
"Are you alright?"
"can you stand?".
"how long has it been since you ate? Do you remember what happened before you fainted?" she asked worriedly.
"do you remember why you fainted?", she continued.
"are you feeling any pain? Does your head hurt at all?"
She talked to the girl calmly for around ten minutes, checking every single thing about the girl
the gril then said "Annie, seriously?"
"what?".
"How old is she? How old are you?, what is your name?"
Annabelle rolled her eyes at his questions. "I'm fifteen years old", she stated "and I'm older than her. My name is Annie and I'm twenty two years old"
"But do you feel anything?".
"yes. Yes, I do. In fact, the only feeling I can feel right now is annoyance". Annabelle smirked proudly."well,do you know how can you be fainted  and pass out at the same time? Because i have no idea".
the gril then answerd "I last time, ate a cupcake at dinner last night, I was also the first out of the dining room, when I was walking down the hall, I heard someone discussing something."
"what did they talk about? Was it serious, important?"
The gril nodded. "they were talking about someone named Andrews Jhonson"
"And who is that?"
"well,he has the best rank of magic , and one of my friends", the gril answered "and he is really nice  and friendly, he always tries to make other people feel at ease"
Annabelle rolled her eyes. "I've met him a lot already"
"Yeah. Well, that's what everyone thinks about him anyway, because he doesn't really give a hoot about those boring and dull subjects, he cares a lot about helping others."
Annabelle started asking questions again"ok but are you-"
"shut up Annie,You haven't even been accepted as the school's anchor yet "
"oh...right", Annabelle mumbled "sorry"
"anyway, it doesn't matter about Andrews, he's probably not the main character".
The gril paused, thinking about another topic. "anyways, what about the person you've been hearing? The voice you heard in the halls?" she asked her.
"what do you mean?", Annabelle questioned curiously.
"Have you ever heard anything besides the voices before? Maybe it was just your imagination"?
The brunette furrowed her brows in thought. After thinking for a moment, she replied: "I don't think so...it definitely felt like somebody talking directly into my mind" she said after thinking for some more seconds "and you can be pretty sure it wasn't mine".
"Well maybe it's just a coincidence".
The brunette frowned, thinking about it for a few more seconds before shaking her head slightly. "No. There isn' t any way".
The gril shrugged in response, and started to walk off to get back inside the classroom

back with helen and ace
they were both in the library, reading a book, then Annabelle came and approached them both. They looked at her expectantly waiting for her to start. "Hey guys!" she greeted cheerfully. "Where have you been?" she asked looking from one to the other.
"We're just doing some studying", Ace replied shortly without taking his eyes off the page. "Why?".
"Can you tell us what you did?" Annabelle asked excitedly.
"what do you mean?".
"Did you notice anything strange?"
"like what?"
"Like a voice or anything", Annabelle repeated.
Ace raised his eyebrows in confusion. "no...why would I?".
Helen chuckled slightly under her breath.  "because apparently, you heard voices".
The raven haired boy widened his eyes in surprise, surprised by the fact that Annabelle had heard voices, too.
Annabelle looked between the two of them, wondering whether or not they were messing with her, then gave up and shrugged her shoulders. "It's nothing" she said "Just a little joke I played", she smiled sheepishly "nothing really".
she quickly glanced at the clock on the wall above the librarian desk and sighed heavily. "Look guys, I gotta go", she said apologetically. "But I hope you two have fun. I can see that you' re quite bored here, after all."
They both nodded.
"Oh, don' worry" Annabelle reassured them "I'll make sure that these stupid rumours will die away soon enough".
Both of them smiled at her reassuringly, although Helen wasn't convinced.
"See you later Annie! Have fun!" Helen called cheerfully.
Annabelle nodded in return, waved at the two and rushed back towards her classroom.

"Alright then, let's continue to study", Helaughed once Annabelle was out of earshot, "what were you saying earlier?", she asked Ace.
"Hmm?".
"About the voices", she clarified.
The gril frowned a bit, thinking about it. "Well, the first thing that happened when we first found her, was that she fainted in the hallway. Apparently, she was hit by somebody or something", he began narrating everything he knew about what exactly had happened during her stay with him.
Once he was done telling Helen about everything that had occurred, she hummed, thinking "well, this girl does seem a bit odd but.. maybe there really is something wrong with her? We can't be certain until we try and find out. Why don't we ask the teacher class?"
Ace stared at her blankly "Why would you want to help that girl? Didn't you hear what the teacher already told me?".
Helen sighed slightly "Yes, I did. However, I don't think she's dangerous, she might even end up being helpful. You never know".
Ace frowned, not agreeing with Helen on that matter. Then, he shook his head "fine. What's our next step?".
"Well, it looks like she' s in Class 1", she said "So how about we go there and find her?".
the raven haired boy nodded. "That's fine by me"
Helen stood up, smiling brightly at Ace as she turned to leave. "Well then. Let's go", she grinned

The two of them left the bookshelves they had been sitting at and headed in the direction of Class 1. When they reached there and opened the door to the room, they saw Annabelle sitting in a chair facing the back wall of the room. They didn't hesitate to enter the room as they could see Annabelle clearly. They made their way over to the brunette.
"Um, Hey Annabelle", they both greeted cheerfully.
Annabelle looked around startled for a while, then her gaze locked with theirs. "Huh? Oh...hey guys".
After a few moments they took the seat that had been placed beside her. "What's up?", Ace smiled as he sat down.
"Nothing", Annabelle answered quickly, looking a bit flustered and embarrassed.
"We wanted to know if there's something wrong" Helen informed the brunette. "If you have anything on your mind..you can tell us".
"No...there's nothing wrong" Annabelle tried to hide her nervousness with an unconvincing smile.
She tried to avoid eye contact with them. She was scared that one of them might realise what she actually hiding  behind her innocent look. But to Annabelle surprise, neither of them showed any sign that they caught on, at least until Helen suddenly spoke up:"well, that is if you're okay with it"
"What?".
"It was just a question", the gingerhead explained "we're worried about you".
Annabelle blinked confused "worried about me? For what?".
"well," Helen started speaking "it seems that you've gotten lost on your way here".
"Won't happen again", the brunette responded nervously.
"I doubt it", Ace said "but still...what about you?" he asked. "Aren't you worried either? It looks as if someone's been following you everywhere for weeks."

The brunette shifted uncomfortably in her seat for a few minutes before giving in to her curiosity, and telling the boys everything that had happened since her arrival to Hogwarts.
After the story was finished, Helen leaned forward towards Annabelle. "Are you alright?", she asked "Did you hear anything?".
"No"
ace then continued one question "fine but you know me, you already have a close relationship with him right ..?" said ace in a mocking tone
Annabelle replied "yeah!,I really like him!,No one can replace him,I really love him!"
instantly ace who felt good and smiled at him suddenly he started to slowly get frownig
"hehehe... you know helen? let's go!"
"Wait where are we going!?" Said Helen, Ace then pushed Helen out
"What's wrong Ace!?" Helen said
"what?, it's okay, forget about the weird sound!, let's see the people doing broom training outside"
