Two days had passed since you had b/n. It was one of the most painful, and best things that has happened to you. Everything had gone fine since you became a mother, and the feeling was impeccable. Minho had gone back to being in the maze yesterday, and although you missed him, you had b/n to keep you busy. You pick up b/n and head out of your tent and towards breakfast.
"Y/n!" You turn to see Newt shouting to you. You stop walking so he can catch up to you. "Hey!"
"Hi"
"You off to breakfast?" He asks.
"Yeah, why?"
"Oh I just thought I'd tag along." Then he adds, "If that's alright with you and b/n."
You laugh, "Yeah sure. Come On!"
The day had gone by as any normal day. You hung out with Newt and your adorable baby boy. Minho came back later than usual, as he is trying to get back on a normal schedule.
"Hey Minho." Newt says, "Aren't the doors supposed to be closing?"
Minho looks up towards the sky, you follow suit, not knowing what you're supposed to be looking at.
"The sun is down." Minho says, "The doors should be closed."
"Well I don't know if you bloody noticed, but they aren't." Newt says.
"Has this ever happened before?" You ask Minho.
"Nope." He begins to walk towards the east walls, but stops abruptly when he hears the clicking of grievers. That horribly familiar sound. He begins to slowly back away, "Y/n, take b/n, and get to the Homestead right now. Board up the windows and doors. Stay safe."
"What about you?!" You ask.
"Don't worry. I'll be fine." He turns to Newt, "Take care of them." Newt doesn't say anything, just nods and gestures for you to follow him.
"What's happening?" You ask.
"I don't know." He says as you get further away from Minho, the one person you want to be with now. "I'm just following Minho's orders. Come on!" He begins to run and so do you. You run at an even pace, despite his limp, because you're holding your baby. You make it to the Homestead together, and he bursts open the doors.
"Woooooah, what's going on?" Jeff shouts.
"BOARD UP THE DOORS AND WINDOWS, GET EVERYBODY IN HERE." Newt shouts.
"What's happening?" Clint shouts.
"The doors aren't closing." Newt says. "No time to explain. No explanation anyways. Just board up this place. Because it looks like we're gonna be sleeping with the bloody grievers tonight."
Nobody moves for a few seconds, so you shout "GO!" And everyone scrambles to work. People begin putting boards along the windows and doors, and gather everyone inside.
"Come on, y/n" Newt says, "Let's get you somewhere safe." He brings you back into the room where you had b/n, because it had no windows or doors leading to the outside. "Stay here." He begins to walk out.
"Newt?"
"Yeah?"
"Make sure Minho's safe."
"Will do," he smiles and runs off as fast as he can. You get up to close the door, and when you do you realize you can hear the clicks of the grievers. Almost as if they're getting closer. You sit back down with your child in your arms, back against the corner of the room.
The door breaks open, "Y/N!" Minho shouts.
"What?!" You shout as you jump to your feet with b/n in your arms.
He exhales, "Just making sure you were alright."
"Well you scared the klunk out of me in the process!" You shout.
"Shhhh." He walks in and closes the door behind him. "The grievers are coming." He sits you down back in the corner and he holds out a large knife in front of the two of you. "If anything happens, don't do anything stupid."
"What do you-" you start but you get cut off when the clicks sound like they are right outside of the Homestead.
CRASH! You hear screams erupt from outside of your room. The grievers are in. That's literally the only thing that it could be. Minho turns to face the door, his knife held out in front of him. You stand up, in case you have the need to flee. The screams begin to get closer to the door, as do the clicking noises. Suddenly, the wall the door was on bursts down, crushing Minho. You look up to see three grievers towering above you.
"MINHO!" You shout. You consider running to his aid, but realize that would put you and your child into more danger.
"Y/n," you hear him groan.
There's no where to run, the grievers are blocking the only exit. And of course you're in the room without windows. Of course. None of the grievers have moved, and neither have you. Both sides just waiting for the other to start war. Out of the blue, one of the grievers shoots one of its ugly mechanical limbs out at you. Then another griever does the same, as does the third, all aiming for the same spot. You dodge all three attack so before thinking, Why are they aiming for right there? Then you realize, they aren't aiming for you, they're aiming for your kid.
You hold your child close to you, now that you realize these creatures intentions. The first griever strikes again, just barely scraping you, causing you to scream out in pain. But you're ready for the next strike. The second griever throws an arm at you, and you hit it away. You feel b/n being pulled out of your arms. You turn to the third monster to see its needle straight through your sons head, his body dangling down.
"NOT MY SON YOU BITCH!" {Harry Potter reference intended} You shout. At the same time, all three grievers turn and begin rolling away. "NO!" You scream at them. You begin to chase after them, out of the Homestead, into the rest of the glade, and into the maze. When you reach the cliff you finally stop. They jump into the black abyss {which is Thomas' heart. ;) Page 250 reference intended, sorry if you haven't gotten there yet} with your child. You stop running and drop down to your knees.
"NO!" You sob. "COME BACK! PLEASE!.. please..."
"Y/n!" You hear someone shout from behind you. You turn to see Newt. "Y/n, what happened? Where's Minho?"
"They took him." You say.
"Minho? They took Minho?" Newt asks, putting a hand on your shoulder.
You stifle a sob, "No.. They... they took b/n..."
"What? Who took him?" He asks, grabbing your hands.
"The grievers." You stand up, pulling him up with you. "We should go back."
"Alright." Newt lets go of one of your hands and begins to walk you back to the Glade. You don't talk on the way back. Not that you want to anyway. A sadness fills your heart as the wave of reality of what has happened flows into your head. Never have you felt worse than you do now. When you finally reach the Glade, you run to the Homestead. You see multiple people starting to fix the broken holes in the walls. You run through both holes that the grievers made, and lift up the wall which they pushed onto Minho.
"Minho?" You ask as you pull it up. You look away, not wanting to see the other person who meant everything to you dead, the wall broke on its way down, so you push the smaller chunk Minho is under off of him. You expect to see him squished against the wooden floors, but instead you find his body to be in nearly perfect condition. You walk up to what you figure to be his corpse, and immediately test for a pulse. It's there. He's not dead. "Can I get some help over here?" You shout. Alby is the one to come to your aid.
"What's up?" He asks before he sees Minho.
"The grievers pushed a wall down on him." You say. "He's still alive though. Can you help me get him out of here?"
"Yeah sure." Alby brushes you aside and picks Minho up bridal-style. He carries him outside and lays him in the grass.
"Did they take anyone else?" You ask as you begin to clean up some of Minho's wounds.
"What do you mean, 'anyone else'?" He crouches down next to you and begins to help.
You swallow, he doesn't know. "They took b/n."
"The grievers?" He asks.
You nod, and for the first time today, you begin to cry.
"Oh my god y/n" Alby stands up, "I'm so sorry." He pulls you up and into a hug. An awkward hug, but a hug nonetheless.
"Can you bring Minho over to our tent?" You ask when you pulls out of the hug.
"Yeah sure" he smiles.

That night you sleep next to a knocked out Minho. You don't even try to think. You don't want to think. Because thinking means dreaming. And when you try to dream, all that comes is nightmares.

Authors Note
Hi guys! Well that was a depressing chapter. Sorry about that, I swear I'm not a murderer in real life. I'm getting kind of concerned on how I am going to end this story, and what's going to happen next, because to be entirely honest with all of you, I'm kind of getting tired of this. Minho isn't my favorite Glader anymore, (Newt is), and nobody ever comments or votes for my story anymore so it feels like nobody is even reading it. I'll work on brainstorming for the future. Love you!
