ESTE BLACK LOVED NEPOTISM. It was always hardest to get your foot into the door, so being born inside of the room was always something she was exceptionally grateful for. Her grandmother knew loads of people, which was why she always got to do cool things at a young age and without having to work extra hard for opportunities. And, now that her cousin was captain of the Quidditch team, she had hoped her cousin would kindly help her out. Pull a couple of strings. But there she stood, shivering in the wind, dressed in a festive Gryffindor red jumper and a furry visor, and clutching her brand new Firebolt she was gifted. Atlas blew his whistle and everyone kicked their brooms and rose into the air. "I don't give a shit if it's your first year trying out, or if you've been on the team longer than I've been," he glanced at two seventh years, and four sixth years. "I want the best team, and I want new──" he paused,──"Pure blood." The Slytherins cheered. Este shook her head, she knew Atlas couldn't give a shit about blood status, but it had been a phrase used by every other captain before him. "So, ten laps around the field──NOW!" he blew his whistle, and everyone was off.

Este was one of the fastest, thanks to her broom, and due to the fact, she was the only girl, with a much smaller build than most of the boys, it was easy for her to fly past all of them. Mattheo was always beside or tailing her though──he had been a member since his second year and was one of the best chasers. Theodore was a chaser since the third year and Blaise was trying out this year as a keeper. Este wanted to be a beater so badly. Atlas was a beater and so, Este felt inclined to join him. She could play any position, but she liked being the beater the best──she was a menace with the bat. And when everyone completed their laps, Atlas was soaring around her team with the Quaffle under his arm and slowing to hover on the spot in front of her airborne team. "Okay everyone, we're going to start with some passes just to warm up, the whole team please spread out, then, and let's see what we can do. . . ."

Blaise fell back toward the opposite goal. Atlas raised the Quaffle with one hand and threw it hard to Este, who passed to Draco, who passed to Theodore, who passed to Mattheo, who passed to Blaise, and so forth until the Quaffle was back in Atlas' grasp. "All right," called Atlas, "Matty, Theo, go and get your bats and a Bludger and Draco get the snitch, I'm going to split us up into teams and we'll figure out the best lineup." Mattheo, Theodore, and Draco disappeared for a moment before returning with the buldgers and snitches.

They returned to the air, and Atlas split the teams. Theodore, Mattheo, and one of the sixth years played as Chaser for one team; with the other sixth year and Este as beater; a little fourth year for seeker; and Blaise as Keeper. On the other team, the two seven-years and the sixth years as chasers; Crabbe and Goyle as beaters, Draco played as seeker, and a third year as the keeper.

When Atlas blew her whistle, Draco released the Snitch, and Mattheo and Theodore let fly the Bludger.

Este held her beater's bat steadily in her hand and was the first one to hit a buldger out of the four people trying out as Beater. Her hit was hard as she whacked a buldger into the Chasers. She kept playing for a few rounds or so hitting the buldger as hard as she could and definitely injuring a few people.
