Aleksander arrived early to kings cross once again, this time so he could meet up with his friends instead of finding an empty compartment.

He quickly found Lily sitting by herself with a book open in her lap. When the compartment door slid open, she instantly abandoned her book to draw him into a tight hug.
"Sander! It's so good to see you." She drew back but still held his arms with a smile. "Thank you for the book you sent me. I've never read some of those stories before. Where did you get it?"

Aleksander chuckled warmly as he took a seat opposite the redhead. "I got it in Hogsmeade actually."

"Really? I'm surprised. The only bookstore in Hogsmeade isn't that good, I should know, I've scoured for a good bookstore."

"You just have to know how to find the good in the bad." Aleksander responded with a smile. "So how was your break?"

Just down the corridor, the Marauders were in their usual compartment.
The walls that would normally be taking in their laughter and pranks was instead drowned in a tense silence.

Remus held the full attention of the group as he spoke, "Aleksander knows."

"Knows what?" Peter asked, while James was staring down Sirius accusingly.

"I didn't tell him!" Sirius defended fervently. "He's known since at least the first Hogsmeade weekend."

"And you didn't tell us, why!?" James asked incredulously.

"Because he has his own secret and I know that you would have instantly confronted him about it and demanded he tell us in exchange for him figuring it out!"

"You couldn't have known that he wouldn't tell!"

As the two boys stood and shouted at each other, Remus quickly cast a silencing charm over the compartment.

"Yes! I did, and I still do!"

"How? How could you possibly know?!"

"Because he has scars!" Silence once again encased them, Sirius lowering his voice to speak clearly but carefully. "They're not like mine, but he has scars. And they hold a story." Sirius then turned to Remus. "How did you find out he knew?"

Remus moved towards his truck on the overhead shelves and pulled out a package from inside. "He sent me this for Christmas." He opened the package to reveal a half eaten thing of chocolate. "I thought it was just normal chocolate, since everyone knows I love chocolate. But I had some before the full moon and it had the same effect as I've read a wolfsbane potion has. And my cuts healed that same day instead of taking a week at the very least."

"See." Sirius gestured towards Remus at the words. "He never told anyone and he's helping Remus make it through the full moon. I'd say that he has earned our trust."

James still wasn't accepting it. "Just because you're in love with him, doesn't mean we have to trust him."

"He's earned a place as your friend and you know it." Sirius defended. "If it was Lily that found out, we wouldn't even be having this discussion." Sirius roughly ran his hand through his hair. "I can't be here right now." He realized, rushing out of the compartment and towards the washrooms at the end of the train.

In his wake, the remaining Marauders stared at the door.

"He's right." Remus was the first one to speak. "Aleksander hasn't told anyone, and the only thing he's done is help me. He's already proven himself as a friend, even before all of this. And even when he knew, he didn't run away in fear from me. So, Sirius is right. I trust Aleksander, and since it's my secret to keep, I hope you'll respect that."
