Back at the Institute

Izzy's POV

After I killed the demon in the alley, I took Clary to the Institute to get her checked out.  As we got to the entrance of the Institute, I opened the door and took Clary in.   She saw what the Institute looked like and I think she remembers it.  Then as we walked near the monitors, Jace saw me, and Clary saw him.  "Jace?"  She looked at him and him at her.  "Clary?"  He walked to us.  What are you doing here?"  He asked.  "A demon attacked us.  I brought her here to keep her safe."  I said, and he turned to me and then back at Clary.  "You okay, Clary?"  He asked her.  "Yeah, I'm alright."  She said, looking at him.  "So, does anyone care to tell me what the hell just attacked us?"  Clary asked.  "A demon.  They can come out of anywhere.  Right now this is the safest place for you."  I said, and she nodded.  I walked to Jace and he looks at me.  "What's up?"  He said.  "Do you think you can stay with her until she calms down?  I think she needs you."  I said and he looked at Clary who seems to be in a bit of shock.

Jace's POV

I walked to her and held her shoulders.  "Hey, you okay?"  I asked her slowly.  She turned around and looked at me.  "Not really."  She said while rubbing her forearms.  "Try to relax.  It's alright."  I said, trying to calm her down.  Once she's calmed down, she looked at me.  "Jace, what's going on?  What the hell do those demons want?"  She asked me and I looked at her.  "I don't know Clary.  But until we figure out what they want, I need you to stay here where we can protect you, alright?"  I said, and she nodded.  "Come on, let's get you to your room."  I lead her to her old room.  The same room that's adjacent to mine.  It's the same way she left it since she lost her memories a year ago.

I opened the door and we went in.  "This is your room, Clary," I said as I led her in.  She looked around for a bit then turned to me.  "Is there something wrong?"  I asked.  "No, it's just...I've seen this room before.  I think I saw it in a dream or something."  She said and I smiled.  Maybe Reziel and the Angels are giving her memories back again.  But slowly.  I've kept praying to the angels that one day they would forgive Clary for the wrongs that she did.  If I were in Clary's shoes at that time, I would do the same thing to help my friends, especially if it's Clary's life at stake.  They're not just my friends, they're my family, too.  And so is Clary.

"If you need anything, I'll be in the computer center," I said to her as she looked at me and nodded.  "Alright."  I went out of her room to give her privacy, and I went to the computers for any signs of demon signatures.  Alec saw me and I look at him.  "Hey, Alec."

"Hey.  I heard from Izzy that Clary's here.  She said that she and Clary got attacked by a demon," he said.  "Yeah.  She's in her old room right now.  She's trying to take it all in.  I think you should check on her, Alec.  I gotta find this demon and kill it."  I said as he went to Clary's room.  I went back looked back at the screen and I continued to search for any demonic signature.

Alec's POV

I went to Clary's room and knock on the door, "Clary?"  I called out and she respond.  "Jace, is that you?"  She said.  "No, it's Alec.  I'm friends with Jace."  I respond.  "One sec." She said as she opened the door and I went inside.  "Hey, you okay?  I heard about the demon attack you and Izzy had."  "Yeah.  I'm alright.  Just trying to take in all of this thing that's happening."  She said as I sat next to her.  I put my arm around her and rub her arm with my thumb, hoping she would relax.   

After a couple of minutes of talking, we walk to the main part of the building.  Jace was dueling with Izzy in the dueling room and I saw Clary look at them.  "You okay, Clary?"  I asked.

Clary looked at Jace and Izzy as they duel and Clary seems to be amazed by them.
