The halls were empty and silent, the only thing being heard was a pair of footsteps that took slow strides and these footsteps belonged to Luca who wore a pained and tired expression on his face.

He hadn't gotten any sleep at all after he went home yesterday, he stuffed his shaking hands into the pockets of his jacket and took a deep breath trying to calm himself down and to stop the tears that threatened to fill his eyes at any given moment.

Days like these felt like torture to Luca. Not getting any sleep and being forced to go to school were the worst times.

The blonde continued taking slow strides down the hallway, his heart thumping loudly against his chest to the point where he could hear his own heartbeat in his ears.

As he continued his way down the empty hallway he suddenly heard another set of footsteps behind him. He stopped walking and turned around to see who the person was and ended up seeing Ike who covered his mouth as he let out a yawn.

Ike stopped in his tracks once his eyes landed on the blonde in front of him, he quickly walked closer to the taller after examining his face.

❝Luca are you alright?❞ The shorter asked worriedly.

The blonde took a deep breath before answering, ❝O-of course Ike.. w-why wouldn't I b-be?❞ He said trying to plaster a smile on his face.

Ike knew Luca like the back of his hand, he knew Luca wasn't the type to voice out his problems when something happens to him and knowing this made Ike even more worried than what he originally was.

❝Luca are you sure you're alright?❞ The brown and blue haired boy asked.

Luca closed his eyes to stop the tears from clouding his eyesight then reopened them to look at Ike. ❝I'm fine I promise.. I just... didn't get enough sleep last night.❞

The shorter pursed his lips into a thin line but nodded nonetheless because he didn't want to pressure the other into telling him anything.

❝Alright, but if your mood gets any worse by the day come and find me I'll be in the library today.❞ Ike told him.

Luca nodded, ❝Thanks Ike.❞ He said with a small smile.

Ike returned the smile. ❝It's no problem.❞

He watched as Luca turned around and hurriedly left down the hallway, he huffed through his nose and couldn't help but to ruffle his hair out of frustration.

❝Hey Ike.❞ A sudden voice appeared behind him.

He flinched and turned around only to see Shu who wore a warm smile. ❝Oh hey Shu.❞

❝Sorry to startle you like that Ike, but I saw you talking to Luca and I wanted to see what was wrong since he didn't look ok.❞ Shu explained.

Ike sighed and shook his head, ❝That's because he isn't ok, I know there's something wrong with him but he wouldn't tell me and I didn't want to force anything out of him.❞ He said.

Shu let out a hum of understanding then peaked over Ike's shoulder to look in the direction where he saw Luca disappear to.

❝Shu could you do me a favor?❞ Ike asked bring the latter's attention back to himself.
