Thats... Strange

Seek pov:
I glanced all around me, my eye wide open in shock.
What.. the hell happened here- its changed so much..?
Still on the floor of the cranky elevator, i got up, grabbing my hands on the rusty grate to help.
Oh yeah i have to be quiet so figure doesn't hear me.
That's going to be difficult.
As i stood up, I noticed some books in a pile all ripped up and destroyed, the spines broken and covers torn apart
Hmm thats weird, i thought, taking a step forward to have a closer look
"No, no, nah... ooh!" A book, right at the bottom of the pile sparked my interest.
It stood out from all the others- it was black, with what seemed to look like a summoning circle on the middle of the front cover, cyan blue in color. I reached into pile and pulled out the book.
Wait what!? This book definitely was no ordinary book at all. The symbol on the front emitted what seemed to be a dim aura of hazy blue light. I opened the book, hesitating
I turned the first page
Huh?!
There was a diagram, of a cross. Maybe a crucifix?
The cross was labelled in handwriting i could not read. Although, i could translate one phrase.
" banish thee satanic. Fidem habeo in te."
What was that supposed to mean!? Thats... strange
I noticed the more i turned the pages, the handwriting and page smudges and ink blotches got worse with every turn, until the last page.
The whole thing was ripped out, but te edges of the teared paper had soot on them. Someone had burnt the page out.
Wait..
I noticed on the front cover there was another one of those crucifixes
It looked cool so I picked it up and put it away
