You moved the box full of pictures and knick knacks out of the room and set it down in the hallway. You went downstairs, grabbing a broom from the hallway closet, and going back up to the room. You had the room set up as a make shift office space, you didn't use it much, so you were clearing it out for your new housemates that would be moving in.

Rosinante and you have been dating for six months, it maybe a short time to be dating before having him move in with you. But he lived with his adoptive son Law in an apartment that was owned by his brother Doflamingo. The older blond was evicting all his tenants so he could tear the apartment complex down and build a nightclub. He wasn't even offering Rosinante a new place to live in.

So much for family being important to the man.

You were more than happy to have Rosinante, Law, and their dog Bepo move in with you. You lived in a two story town house, so there was plenty of room for the three.

You smiled to yourself as you remembered the day you first met Rosinante. You had been waiting in line at a cafe to order a coffee during your lunch break. The tall blond in front of you turning around with his order, he ended up tripping and spilling his coffee all over you. Luckily, he had order an iced coffee, so you didn't get scolded.

Rosinante had apologized to you profusely, he was in a rush though so he gave you his number and told you to call him so he could pay you back for the dry cleaning. You did call him back, but not about the dry cleaning bill, you asked him on a date. The blond was shocked, but you found him cute and wanted to see him again. The first date went well, when he told you about his adoptive son, you were a bit hesitant to see him again. You weren't ready to be a mom and didn't want to play the part of a mother figure in a new relationship. The blond quickly telling you that he wouldn't put those expectations on you, Law was seventeen and would probably end up seeing you as his dad's girlfriend, or a friend if you were lucky.

The front doorbell ringing drew you out of your thoughts. You leaned the broom against the wall and headed downstairs. You opened the door, Rosinante was standing there with a bright smile on his face. Law was stood next to him with his usual frown plastered on his face.

"Come on in." You stepped back, allowing them to step into your house. You were immediately wrapped up in Rosinante's arms, the blond lifting you off the ground as he hugged you.

"Thanks for letting us move in with you." Rosinante kissed your cheek. His voice was soft, but deep, something you loved about him.

"No need to thank me." You cupped his face and pressed your lips against his.

"This is creepy." You heard Law grumble behind you two. You chuckled pulling back from the kiss, knowing exactly what the teen was referring to.

Rosinante set you down and turned his attention to the bookshelf in your living room that Law was staring at. The bookshelf was full of vintage dolls instead of books.

"Yeah, it's not for everyone." You went over to the shelf and picked up one of the dolls. It was old, the white cotton fabric it was made out of now a faded yellow colour, and the blue yarn that was meant for hair, missing in some spots. "My grandmother started this collection."

"And you kept it?" Law frowned.

"Law don't be-" Rosinante's leg caught the side of your coffee table, the blond falling to the ground and flipping the coffee table over.

"You okay?" You rushed over to him, helping him sit up, Law standing the coffee table back up. You were used to Rosinante's clumsiness, but you always checked him over to make sure he didn't seriously get hurt.

"I'm fine." Rosinante didn't have a nose bleed this time which was good.

"And yes, Law I kept the dolls. My grandmother started collecting them when she was a kid, than passed it onto to my mother who passed it on to me. I've only added that doll, though." You pointed to a porcelain doll on the bottom shelf, she had ginger hair and was wearing a red dress with matching red shoes.

Admittedly, you didn't like the doll collection all that much, but when your mom was nearing her last days due to cancer, she seemed happiest when she told you stories about how she got each doll. You couldn't bring yourself to get rid of the dolls after seeing how happy they made your mom.

"There still creepy." Law sighed.

"Yes, yes now let's go bring your guys stuff in." You ushered the two outside so you could begin moving them in.

Law's belongings were moved into the room you had just finished cleaning out, while Rosinante's stuff was moved into your room. After everything was put away, Law took the car to go pick up Bepo from his friend Shachi's house.

You and Rosinante sat on some lawn chairs in your backyard, you lit your boyfriend's cigarette for him, so he didn't accidentally catch himself on fire.

"Again thank you for letting us move in with you." Rosinante said after taking a drag of his cigarette.

"You don't have to keep thanking me. It'll be nice having someone tall around to change the light bulbs." You teased.

"So that was your motive all along." Rosinante chuckled.

"Quilty as charged." You got up from your lawn chair and sat down on Rosinante's laps. "If you're gonna keep thanking me, you can do it in other ways."

"I'd be happy to." Rosinante leaned down, his lips connecting with yours,  he brushed his tongue over your bottom lip. You parted your lips allowing him access to your, the kiss only stopping when Bepo came racing into the backyard. Law standing by the back door as he mumbled 'gross' under his breath.

"Law's at school most of the week. I'll have plenty of time to thank you later." Rosinante whispered next to your ear.
